Some Old Baby Memories! for Show and Tell

I have a few items from my early childhood. They are tucked away in the hope chest, but when I cleaned it a few months ago, I took pictures of some of these items. The above "book" is really a bank. It has my birthname engraved on the bottom.
This little bank once held syrup. But the lid is slit for a bank. I remember bringing this to my uncles when they came over for them to put money in it. My love for coins started very early!

This is my handprint in plaster from kindergarten. See the CK?

This is the dish from my baby dish set. I believe there was a bowl and cup at one time. I have tried different times to find the other pieces.

Remember these old piggy banks. Mine has a few OLD coins in it. I remember using a knife to try and get some money out! I believe it is Carnival glass.

Well, that is my Show and Tell for Kelli's house this week. I am getting a little concerned because I don't feel lately I have had much new to show. You know like a lot of you also, we are not spending as much "extra" monies for stuff I really don't need. I know it is hard to believe, but I do run out of "things" eventually! Hope you enjoyed seeing some of these things. Who knows what next week might "dig up"!

Hope you all have a fun day looking at Show and Tells and a wonderful weekend.

Those are so precious. I wish I had some baby items from birth or childhood, but being child #3 they had already been slightly used.lol
Your hand print should be grouped with the kids.

What a great S&T! So nice that you have all those things from your childhood! Your maiden name, did it start with a "K" as well as your married name?

I think it is lovely that you have this old treasures. You don't money to have to show and tell - even pictures of your garden or soemthing special to you will surely do :-)

What sweet treasures! I had a piggy bank just like that one and I used to stick bobby pins to stick in it and fish out the coins!

Just love your childhood treasure! The story of Uncles putting money in the bear bank! So sweet! I remember the big penny bank as we called them, my Grandmother had one, I haven't seen one in years. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the summer days! Hugs! Katherine

Thank you for visiting my blog this morning CeeKay. I like these fun things from your childhood, how nice that you still have them. I don't seem to see piggy banks so much anymore, but they sure were a big deal when I was growing up in the 50's.

Have a great day, nice meeting you!

It is so wonderful that you have things from when you were so young. I love carnival glass. I remember of trying to get the pennies out of my piggy bank with a knife too. It never worked. Sometimes one or two would fall out but I had dreams of it all falling out.

No I don't have chinchillas, I do have chihuahuas. Maybe that is what you meant. They are little sweethearts.

OMG!! I cant believe you have these things. You are so lucky! I really dont have anything from when I was a child. I sometimes ask myself if I even existed as a child!! LOL. There is only one picture of me as a baby. My parents never took pictures of me or kept anything that belonged to me. I dont think they realized how important it would have been for me. Therefore I will not make the same mistake. I have everything of my sons. EVERYTHING.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing. This is so lovely!

I have a "book" bank similar to that one, and I have a bear bank that saw a syrup jar that were mine as a child. Love the dish from your baby set. One of the cutest ones I've seen. I never understood why they made banks that you had to break to get the money out! Great memories. So glad you shared them. laurie
