I got my Craft on!
There is nothing like putting a wedding on with basically a very small budget. I became the queen of HL coupons, Michael's coupons...etc.
I had seen some of these banners on Pinterest, so I got out the glue and used stuff from my stash. This banner only cost the price of the large letter stickers.
I also made the reserved signs and place cards - all from "scraps"
The flower girl, my gd, decided at the last minute she wanted a corsage. All the others were already ordered, so I put this one together. It was sooo cute, even if I say so myself!
This is my banner. We took it off and had pictures of them holding it...I hope they turn out cute!
Here is the set up...before we had to lay the cups over because of the wind.
Ok, I hope I am not boring all of you with wedding stuff....but this was a big event in our lives. I am still a bit giddy that it all turned out pretty and everything went smoothly. The Lord answered our prayers....some that I won't share, but trust me....some big prayers answered here. And thank you to my blog friends who said some of those prayers!!

The centerpieces were goblets upside down on mirror tiles. At the wedding we put candles on top, but the wind would not let them stay lit. Some guests turned the glasses over and put the candles inside and lit them. It worked, but now I have some dewaxing to do!

I am going back to bed now.....talk to you soon. I have chemo on Tuesday...I would appreciate your prayers...it is not fun to get chemo when you are already tired...but, well, as Ro would say....it is what it is!!!
Tired MOB
I chuckled....well, not out loud...that would take too much energy. The word Tired. Funny little word. It doesn't begin to describe how I feel today. I would try another word, but I can't think of one!
The wedding was beautiful. We did not get a monsoon. The evening actually was a comfortable temperature. We did have some wind....kinda played havoc with the runner....but otherwise, all went well.
Thank you for your prayers. I know you all want to see pictures. Here are a few from FB, but honestly, I got up...ate, took Bentley for a SHORT walk, came home, and promptly went back to bed.
Just know this for today, Mama is a very happy girl!

MOB Signing Off
Source....AZ Weather.com
I am forcing myself to step away from Blogging until after the wedding. It is like withdrawal!
To my prayer partners in Blogland, please remember our family this weekend. The weather is miserable. Forecast for Monsoons on Friday and Saturday...which will be a disaster.
I also ask you to pray that our Lord and Saviour will be evident through my husband and me.
And finally, please pray for our daughter and her children as they are united in marriage with the children's father.
I hope to have some pics next week. Give me a few days....till then...

Let's Just Pretend
for a little bit that I am not a frazzled MOB .....
It is 112 here today with threats of even hotter for Saturday....but I am not going to think about that....
We started with a list of 40 people that is now 57....but I am not going to think about that.....
I am getting my hair colored and cut with a new hairdresser....but I am not going to fret about that...YET
No, I am going to look around and smell the daisies...well, no, they are now all dead....so let us look at some things I see in my home!
This small cloche sits to my left as I sit at the computer....
It holds a sweetgrass mini basket and Greenville's famous little mouse, souvenirs from my visits to God's country....South Carolina...
To the right of me is one of my vintage scales....with a small crock...full of faux greens...yes Shelia, I love my faux and they love me!!...
I stuck some old spools inside....
I asked my hubby to hang my cow from Marty....after he raised his eyebrow...he did it...cuz he loves me!!
I hung an apron from it...the apron was a blogger gift a couple of years ago....
Now, you all are saying....what in the world does anything have to do with each other....
NOTHING....but I am not going to think about that!!

Wedding Prep Fullswing
First out of the gate I want to thank all of you for your visits to my blogs. I have a list of people to go blog visiting...but I am sorry it is going to have to wait. I am in Full Bridal Prep Mode!
My daughter's wedding is one week from today and my husband and I are doing the majority of everything....
Her colors are red, white, and black. She is my daughter after all!!
Thursday I made and filled 50 favor boxes with mints.
Then I added some red ribbon to the white rose swags for the arch...
Yes, we are doing all the flowers in silk. She wants an outdoor wedding and the temps are supposed to be in the 110s. This way the flowers won't wilt. Not our preference, but you do what you have to do.
I was so tickled to get these both for $25.00. These will go on each side of the arch....
You can peek and see the silk geraniums for some pots behind the pillars.
Thank you for all your encouragement and prayers for my health. I am getting it all done, so life is good.
Have a blessed Sunday!

"Stuff in Tool Box"
I showed my Guest room a while back and several of you talked about my Tool Box.
You may remember I purchased it for $5.00 from the son of a man who made it 60 years ago.
Right now I have it in the Guest room with some "stuff" in it.....
Everyone has old buttons...wish I had more!
My sachet from Rebecca at Gathering Thoughts.
A little bowl I bought years ago, but I love the little raised flowers.
Some old gloves and my Grandma's glasses.
I also have the pin cushion that Marty made me...you can see the top of it in the first pic.
This box changes per my whims!!

Idea Thank you!
Thank you to all of you that took the time to think about my design problem. I will have to do some shopping it appears...but that will have to wait till after the wedding.
I know several of you mentioned about something in the crock on the left side, however, you have no idea how big that crock is.....any plant would have to be a tree in there. I have put a board on top at times, but I don't think I want another plant there....since there is one on the right side.
So I will play with it some more.....but I do appreciate the ideas.
Now if you all could just come and visit in person!!
Have a great weekend.....Talk to you next week!

Grrrrrrr!!!! (UPDATE)
I told you I had a decorating problem that I need help with. So here it goes.
The wall behind the table has the curio in the corner. Everything that is sitting on that wall is staying there...why? there is no place else to put it.
I love my little cuckoo clock. My husband bought it for me from Frankenmuth, MI. So.....I put it on the left of the buffet....but then I thought maybe I should put it on the other side to balance out the lighter wood. I just don't know how to decorate this wall. The right side has the stupid switchplate that I cannot cover. So, even if I put something to balance the cuckoo on the right.....do I just leave the space above the switchplate empty? And if not, what do I put. I don't want anything too busy because of the stuff in the curio.
See.....I NEED HELP!
I don't want a photograph....I would like to keep it sorta dressy....although, as you can see, I mix things up all over the place!
I do not have 2 pictures the same size and move the cuckoo, (although I don't know where!). Trust me I looked!
Maybe I am just over thinking this....but HELP! What would you do?
OK....I changed a couple of things and I like it and I will explain why I did what I did....but I still have an empty spot...Guess I will have to buy something...
I had the framed prints of Helen Keller's phrase....so I put that where the cuckoo clock was...and I had tried that before....but I moved the cuckoo clock over more and higher, the same height as the top of the glass hurricane lamps on the other side....I haven't talked to hubs about the switch, but I kinda know what the answer is going to be.
I also put some greenery around the hurricane lamps. These lamps were from my husband's family original farm house, so I like them out....
I think if I find another frame similar to the one on the right it will finish it the way I see it.
I am also going to add some plates above the mirror, but I don't know exactly what yet....I would like ironstone, but I don't have any....something to look for....
So NOW what do you all think??
