Autumn Tray Tablescape

Many times when I am not feeling well, my husband will prepare a tray for my breakfast. In honor of that I thought I would show the tray set for an Autumn breakfast for my tablescape at Susan's.

The place mat is a brown beaded mat from Target. I only have the one.

A plaid napkin with a leaf napkin ring.

Little scarecrow teapot.

Homemade blueberry muffins...yes, I said homemade. More about that in a minute!

A little butter for the muffins.

A cup of tea....

Yum...my kind of breakfast!

Ok, so now for the muffins. I am sure many of you know how to do this...but you can take any cake mix or muffin mix and instead of adding the water, oil, and eggs, JUST add a can of diet pop (soda). I use Diet Sierra Mist. Bake as directed for the cupcakes and voila! I did add some extra blueberries to this mixture, cuz I had them! You will not be able to tell the difference!

Can You Love Fall? (who would say that??)

As sweet and famous Shelia from Note Songs often asks....Can you love Fall? Can you love cute Autumn decorations? I sure can!

Some more of my pumpkins and a black crow that I see everywhere in Blogland...from....the Dollar Tree of course!

I am enjoying the evening with candles lit, low lights on....and a cup of tea, but soon, it will be a cup of Hot Cider. Tomorrow, wonderful, glorious tomorrow...it is supposed to be under 100 degrees! I may have to send hubby to the store and get some sugar donuts! Not the same as at a cidar mill....but close enough!!

And ladies...let me tell you, my hubs and I got the deal of seriously, a lifetime???

Penn*ys had a $10.00 off of $10.00. Today was the last day and even though I didn't know what we would find, I couldn't let that go. Well, long story short...my hubs found 5 pair of shorts...which here he can wear almost year round...$4.99 ea with additional 20% off. I found a little dress for my granddaughter for Christmas (original tag $39.99), same price! Total amount paid?? $15.47...Total amount saved after the $10 coupon.....(HONEST, I have the receipt) $249.05.

Even my non-shopper hubby could not argue with that, even though it is STILL September and I am not supposed to be doing ANY shopping. Oh, I just love a great sale!

Mosaic Monday #2

This is mostly a collage of my Valerie Parr Hill lighted Fall garland. I don't have a fireplace, but the top of my entertainment center is about the same height as a fireplace mantle....it is really quite stunning! I thought this would make a nice mosaic for Mosaic Monday at Mary's.

We are hoping for some cooler weather this week. I am anxious to get our backyard cleaned up and some flowers planted. Hope you had a blessed weekend!

Fall around our home!

For Show and Tell at Kelli's today, I thought I would show some of my decorations around our home.

I believe this plate was at HL last year.

This little table is in the dining area.

These candle holders came from CB a couple of years ago. Ro and I both have them! I will have to try to get a better picture....they are really quite lovely!

I have several of these little cut-outs from my Country decor days....I think they are so cute, and would be so easy to make!

This little figurine I bought last year in Michigan when I was there during the Fall. I have a picture of me in the woods with leaves around my feet! But I wasn't barefoot!!

That is a bit of the decorations I have around. Next week I think I will share my scarecrows!

And BTW, I have been so good about not shopping. I can't say I haven't bought anything....but really very little. But let's just say...hallelujah!!!! September is almost over. Look out HomeGoods!!!

Here is what is happening....

I make an effort not to make my blog about cancer. However, because I know so many of my readers pray for me and inquire what is happening....I will tell you...
I was supposed to have chemo today, however, as I had feared, my CA # was up again significantly. My doctor feels that is is silly to keep giving me chemo if it isn't helping and why is the CA going up while on chemo?

So, I will be seeing a new oncologist and having a scan in the next two weeks. Hoping that they will be able to pinpoint the problem and give me something that will make a significant improvement.

Am I jumping up and down about this....no. I shed some tears and ate some chocolate. However, as my doctor has assured me, better to "fix" the problem now, then when they no longer have options.

Thank you for caring. I am fine. I have a big God and a loving husband.

Next post will be back to enjoyable stuff, I promise.

The Garbage Dump-er

My husband has a small garbage basket by the desk - he likes to put his expired coupons, scraps in there....

I did a good job dumping the garbage, huh mom???

Bentley doesn't tear the paper...he just doesn't want it in the garbage basket.....
Now we really should stop this bad behaviour....

But it is soooo stinkin cute!

A FALLEN Mosaic!

Monday is Mosaic Monday at Mary's Little Red House. I am a novice when it comes to mosaics....but since apparently I am FALLEN along with Shelia at Note Songs....I thought I would try my hand at a Fallen Mosaic!

Seriously....I have got to get control over my Pumpkin Love! (ok, laughing now...cuz you and I both KNOW that ain't happening!!)

and ***this happens when already logged into blogger and has nothing to do with the letter thingy....if you have seen the red lettering you know what I am talking about. So obviously, not everyone has this problem, but some do.
and **** I don't understand why we can't move pictures anymore either...
I think it would be nice if their were REAL people to talk to to let them know about these problems....But then again...that would probably make too much sense!!!
Don't get me wrong...I love blogging, but it sure would be nice if we didn't have to redo everything everytime we want to leave a comment!!!

I am just wondering if anyone else is seeing this problem. When I leave a comment while visiting blogs I hit post. Then it comes back...your request cannot be processed in red letters. Then I hit post comment again and then if there is the letter thingy...it comes up....or if no letter thingy it will say your post has been processed. This never happened before. I would say it happens on 99% of my comments....
Any ideas why this is happening and HOW to stop it!

Makes me wonder how many comments I am missing because it is just so stinking frustrating....

Ok, I will quit grumbling!!!

Fall Leaf Tablescape

I just love Fall! And I love the color Orange. I just love this Tablescape. Hope you like it too!

See these beautiful leaf chargers like Ro's? Ok, I admit it. I whined and said....boo hoo, I can't buy anything this month....snif, snif....and my hubby brought them home when he had to get our battery fixed for the car!

My placemats are decorative cut out felt. Kirkland's 2 years ago on clearance!

My leaf napkin rings I found at an Estate sale last fall. I think I paid 50 cents for 4.

Then last year I found these at Target Dollar Stop!

S & P from Walmart, again last year. They are a perfect match to the leaf dishes.

My leaf glasses....from my grocery store 3 years ago...$1.00 each. They have some again this year, but I think my leaves are prettier!

My First White Wednesday

I don't have a lot of white in my home. Not that I don't like it, just because I have darker colors. I wish I had a home with so many rooms that each could be a different style...then I could have some Shabby Chic also...

This soap bar was purchased at a sweet shop in Michigan on my trip there last year. Of course, I won't use it, because it is just too pretty!

I love Scrabble. Ro and her hubby and my hubby and I play when we get together, and it is always so much fun...well, fun with Ro's hubby, challenging with mine! We have even kept score sheets of score record games!
So how about a game??

I wanted to spell comments...but that wasn't working...and there was no Y.
Why??
