We had a wonderful dinner at Flemings this evening....on our actual anniversary. It is hard to imagine that 40 years have passed....but I am so blessed that we were able to go out and enjoy ourselves together.
You know, on reflection, our married life has been a huge blessing and gift from our Lord, but definately, not without heart aches and disappointments. We just seemed to cling to each other during those times and got through them.
And that is what we are still doing. I didn't know whether this milestone would happen. Sometimes, I had my doubts. But with all of my family and friend's prayers and encouragement, and a doctor who cares about me and really LIVING life....here we are!
So, tomorrow, on to 41!......and two big birthdays for both of us!
