Easter Sunday with my Family!

Ok, I am a grandma and I do have the smartest and cutest grands in the world.  So now that I have taken care of that...here are pics of the day.....

Such beautiful weather, we decided to eat outside...

Easter baskets waiting to be filled with the hidden eggs from the Easter bunny.
(My gd was upset that her basket at home had eggs with candy inside....)

See the hidden egg?

Don't worry....there was candy!

Let the hunt begin!!

As my son said....granddaughter skunked grandson!!

That is what they wanted from the Easter Bunny!!
Hey...I would take that from the Easter Bunny too!!

Their uncle made sure the candy was covered!!

And yes, there was food!!...Traditional to our family.

My granddaughter before they left, comes up to me and says, "Grandma, I am excellent at finding eggs!"   Yep, that's my girl!!

We had a wonderful time!!  I just had to share!

It's great that you were able to have your dinner and egg hunt outdoor, Ceekay. We were in the 40's but my kitchen was so hot from the oven all day that we had to open windows!

Your table was darling and the food looked SO good. Your deviled eggs look delicious, I'm just wondering how you got the white part different colors!

So glad it was fun for your family, your grandkids are precious!

XO,
Jane

Your party with the grand kids looks like fun.
My daughter actually hosted this years hunt at her house. It was fun watching the Littles run around her yard...mine are smaller than yours, so the concept took a few minutes to catch on with some! :P

Love your spread...it all looked great!

Well I think you're right, you do have the cutest grandchildren! What a feast you created, deviled eggs, spiral ham, scalloped potatoes, green bean casserole - and shrimp?! wow I wish I had been there. What a great idea to be $$$ in the eggs, that's way better than candy for sure. Love your "candy bar" so colorful and yummy. So glad y'all had good weather and could be outside. Hugs ~ Mary

You're a special Grandmother, I can tell. How wonderful that you could eat outside. We didn't have a hunt, mine have outgrown them and it was raining after church. I did make them little pails of candy and for that I got hugs...wonderful reward.

Ceekay~~ It was fun looking at all the pictures!
I almost felt like I was there..
I love how different cultures celebrate in different ways.. We did not have ham we had BBQ... our eggs were not filled with candy or money they were filled with confetti. and we have a tradition of cracking the eggs after the hunt on each-others heads.. LOVE to see different ways and traditions.. Your food looked amazing...

Your grandkidlets are just darling, CK, with their egg hunting competitions! I put money in some of our's, too.

I see you made Lynn's colored eggs. I've always wanted to try those.
Sure looks like you had a yummy spread, too. Very similar to ours.

Hugs,
Rett

BTW, I think your etched cloche on top of the old wooden clock base was BRILLIANT!! Use it again for Marty's next party.

Ceekay, your grands are beautiful! How wonderful to be able to have Easter dinner outside. Your table looks so festive, and the food looks yummy. Other than the shrimp (which I wish I had some of), your Easter dinner dishes look similar to mine. Looks like a wonderful day! laurie

Looks like you had a wonderful Easter Sunday! Your meal looked delicious too. That's the kind of food we eat on Easter too. I'm sure the kids were all sugared up after they left your house. LOL! Mine pigged out on chocolate all day that I made sure he brushed his teeth extra good that night!

They sure look happy and content and as if they had a great time. We had a roll of quarters to go in the eggs when auntie decided keys would work well. Ha! I'll remember that for another year.
