Now, there is a German name for ya!
Amish buggies were everywhere!
Lots of Amish use these pedaless bikes....
Oh my goodness, I love this food. Ring Bologna, and the Apple Fritters...oh my goodness!
Trust me, I had sauerkraut as much as I could!
and clothes hanging on the line!
We really did take a Amish buggy ride!
I chose to sit with the Amish gentleman.....
And then I tried to get out!
After Candy got herself up from the ground from laughing.....I finally got help from the Amish gentleman. He wouldn't be in the picture! So, he grabbed my ankle and put it on the step!
I am sure that was against some rule, but I would probably still be there. I love this picture so much.
But, I realized I cannot be Amish.
No no, not this girl. I really found out that I LOVE electricity! Oh, and I really like cars.....they don't raise their tails!!!

Love Amish country! Their scooters are so cute.
Sent you a private message on FB.
I visited Lancaster County quite a few years ago - and I loved it. I'm with you - I love electricity and the comforts of home too much!

Ceekay, you are so funny.. I would not make a good Amish person either. I am not pilgrim stock. LOL You look so cute in that buggy though. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
How fun, looks like you had such a good time.
Great post and delightful photos! So glad you enjoyed all of the adventures!
Love that picture. I didn't know you could stay with them or ride with them. I like my electricity too..
Ha!
that looks like such fun.
I live in a small community outside of town and while we don't have any Amish here. We have a Mennonite community, church, and businesses. It's similar in a lot of ways...though they use electricity. I go into their Pennsylvania Dutch Bakery all the time...and recently visited their local dairy farm.
I love their simple lifestyle...and appreciate having them here.
Your trip was such a blast...
I'm loving reading about it.
What a fun post!!! You are looking so wonderful!
ROFL! He grabbed your ankle? Hahahahahaha...I'd have loved to see that!
OOO, how fun this must have been. I've always wanted to go to Amish
country.
Funny thing...just last night, I watched a movie based on the shooting of the Amish girls at school a few years ago. The Amish were so full of grace.
Beautiful pictures, I would love to see some Amish country!
