I desperately need a new camera. I still want a point and shoot, cuz...
1. I can figure it out
2. I can take it everywhere
3. I can't afford those wonderful hugo cameras!
Ok....what I have now, and love is a Fugi FinePix J110 10 mega pixels and 5x zoom.
I want to upgrade a bit. More zoom for sure, more mega pixels.
I googled best Point and Shoot and the Canon Power Shot came up.
Any advice gals??
Pretty soon the one I have is going to quit....the little catches to keep battery and card in is gone....the lens sticks sometimes...and without a camera, well, you get blog posts like this.....:(
NO PICTURES! Thanks

Sorry, can't help you, I've got one of those HUGE camera's, and I still don't know how to use all of it.
Hugs,
Meri
I have a canon with 9 mega pixels and 10x optical zoom. I have had it for about 5 years and it still is pretty good, I have been looking for a new point n shoot too.
I guess the mgp aren't as important as the some think. I have been reading a lot. There are a lot of sights with reviews on the web plus amazon has excellent reviews.
My brother bought a canon with 40x optical zoom and it's pretty amazing. He paid about $250 for it.
But try searching camera reviews first, there is a lot of info on point-n-shoots.

I have the Canon point and shoot and like it quite well. The ONLY downside that I can see is that when you are trying to take a picture using the auto focus it is sometimes a long time in "snapping" the shot so you miss the "moment" sometimes. But...I am not a great photographer and it makes pretty good pictures and is easy to use. All my photos on my blog are taken with that camera. xo Diana
Why not get a phone that has a really nice camera? You would be surprised at how good some of the pictures are.
I actually post quite a few of the pictures that I shoot with my iPhone.
Then you always have it with you! :)
Just a thought!

I have a Canon powershot. SX230. I like it. I'm with you I don't want to learn a new camera let alone buy one. Enough to learn with blogger, picasa, facebook, pinterest...
I have a Kodak easy share (?)...but I have nothing to share.
I'm afraid I'm not much help either...as all I can do is
POINT and SHOOT. :/
best wishes to you finding something you can like and use. :)

Hi, I have a 5 year old Canon Power Shot SX100IS, which I absolutely love. 8 mega pixels, 10x optical zoom. Most of the photos on my website and blog are taken with this camera. I haven't even used a fraction of the features, but I love this camera. Easy to set up and easy to use. I'm sure there are new models, but I am going to use this until it falls apart, which I hope is never, lol..

I have a small Sony that is a point and shoot. I don't think you can go wrong with the Canon. I hope you are feeling good. Healing thought Ceekay. xo Linda
I had a Canon Power Shot and loved it to the moon and back. I forgot and left it on a ledge outside and then turned on the water sprinkler....bwaaaaa
I now have a very inexpensive Kodak Easy Share that I use ALL the time.
I like it a lot but it has NO bells and whistles.
Hi Ceekay! I have a Canon Rebel now and love it but I did have an Olympus, it's pink and really does a good job. I still take it in purse because it's small.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I just found your blog and I am your newest follower. I am so glad you are talking about cameras today. I too am looking for a new camera. I am with you on the Point and Shoot camera, because I am not a real photographer, hahaha!!
Right now I am using a camera I have had for years, it is a simple GE A730 camera.
I would love for you to visit my blog at http://homeandlifestyledesign.blogspot.com and you can see what kind of pictures it can take. I have been looking at the Canon Powershot SX260 HS, it sells for about $250.00 it has 12.1 megapixels, but I would like one with more megapixels. Yesterday I looked at the Nikon Coolpix P510, it has 16.1 mp, but it is so big and bulky. I don't want to make an event out of carrying my camera, but rather have it with me at all time - that means something small like the Canon Powershot.
Also, someone above said they take pictures with their iphone. I had an iphone 3 (very old) until yesterday I finally got a iphone 5 and I must say the pictures are pretty amazing.
