Well, my hubby could not believe all the comments about my butter churn. What a shock! I think he was feeling a little left out! So in his honor I will post an extra show and tell. These are his babies....a 1982 Cadillac El Dorado and
1990 Cadillac Allante (My favorite). His loves dusting them, taking them out for drives, you know, basically showing them off! Now I hope I am not boring most of you with these cars....but you know the saying, "Love me, love my....cars!"

Good Morning, Bloggers!
Today is Kelli's Show and Tell Friday and I thought I would show my collection of crocks. I have had these crocks for 25 years at least. Used to get them at garage sales and auctions for practically nothing. The butter churn has the complete paddle. My milk bottle rack....well that was in a house we bought. I have added various milk bottles over the years. And no, I don't have all those rolling pins to keep my hubby in line! Although...no just kidding! For whatever reason, I like rolling pins. Maybe because I remember my mom making pies. Trust me, that was probably the last time I personally saw a rolling pin used. Another day for my idea of cooking and baking....vicariously!
The big crock has been moved so many times. But we are done moving!!! It gets seat belted in the car. My hubby just shakes his head. This little vignette is in our dining room. I would love sometime to find a narrow bench for that spot...but shhhh...don't tell hubby.

Oh, by the way, I see a light at the end of the sickie tunnel. Woke up this morning feeling human again. Yeah!

What is in this bug???
Unbelievable, but hubby and I are still down with this bug. His is in his chest, mine is like a good ole cold that just won't go away! You would think that with all I went through last year, I would be able to take being sick....but NO! I HATE being sick. But hope springs eternal... so hoping tomorrow will be better! Hope all of you in blogging world are feeling good.

Blah.....
I really don't mean to complain, well maybe just a little. Maybe just a little whining. But I feel pretty yucky. I have had this cold-flu thing for 3 days now and I am ready to be done with it. But it doesn't seem to be done with me! So fellow bloggers, it isn't too exciting around it right now. Here is a picture of the feather tree with the eggs on it. So until tomorrow, when I KNOW I will be feeling better......

One of my collections....
I have been collecting salt cellars for about 20 years. When I started I could get them at a garage sale for 25 cents...now, seriously, I have seen them for close to $20.00 a piece. So needless to say, my collection hasn't grown much lately! I only collect clear glass ones and I only have a few spoons.
It was very difficult to get a good picture of them. If I had thought I would have put them on a nice black background....but, I didn't...
I actually have used these on a luncheon table. They definately evoke a lot of comments. Hope you enjoyed them.

Bunnies, Bunnies everywhere!
Now I know I have mentioned the Dollar Tree before. I really should get on their payroll for Public Relations! These little guys were there a couple of weeks ago. They are not there now. I always wish I would pick up more when something is this cute.
They look so cute on the buffet in the Living room. I sure don't think they look like a dollar.
These were there too! These are more of a fun look, but they are about 9 inches tall.
This is a precious Easter item. My friend Rose made it many years ago for me. It represents our home, my hubby, me, our son, and daughter. They kinda remind me of Weebles...(oh please tell me that I am not the only one that knows about weebles!!)
Tomorrow I will have to show you the Easter tree. I told my husband on Friday to bring in the box for the little feather tree. I had every intention to take it down. But he is feeling under the weather and didn't get the box. So, I HAD to go to Michaels for something else. And of course, they had egg ornaments. Well come on, the tree was already up! What is a woman to do, but buy the ornaments. My hubby says, "I thought you wanted the tree down?" I told him, "You were too slow." Bet he gets that box next time!!! Let's see....Mother's day could be little clusters of flowers....Father's day....little tools...I gotta quit!

God's Wonderful Creation
Yes, there is beauty in the dessert. It isn't lush and deep green, but still beautiful...
Rocks that look like God placed each one...
Mountains that go on for miles and miles.....
And sunsets to think about as you drift to sleep....
Praise God from whom all Blessings flow....
Happy Sunday everyone!

Laundry Room "Fun"
When we moved into our home, I knew that I was not ever going to be able to "use" the shelves above my washer and dryer because I can't reach them! So I put all my laundry items ( or junk if you talk to my husband) on the shelves. I love how it looks and it helps with doing the chore. The large washboard in the corner was my mom's that she actually used. Me, not so much! Thank God for Shout.
These are baby outfits from my husband and I. I hung them with my toy clothespins on a clothesline. It is hard to see, but on my dress I have the little beaded bracelet that they put on me in the hospital when I was born.
Thought you also might like to see the bunny that my husband gave me for my birthday. I was visiting him often at Cracker Barrel. I think he is so darling. He has a little basket backpack with eggs in it! And he is made out of somekind of grass that looks like hair.
Have a great week-end everyone!

Show and Tell Friday!
Hooray!! Easter is on its way! I always set my table in our dining area for the various holidays. It probably will change some, but I love the pastels for the Spring! (Oh, please overlook the finger in picture...professional I am not!)
I bought this little guy last year, I believe at Michaels. (There is that finger again!)
Most of my Easter decorations are bunnies, but I could not resist this duck at Ross the other day. You can also turn him around to say Happy Easter on the egg. $2.99. I LOVE Ross. Well, I love the Dollar tree also....hmmm, let's not forget Hobby Lobby.....I better quit!

I got tagged!
This is a first again for me, but I was tagged by Alice from Tea in My Cup. This is a book meme. Step one is to take the first book you lay eyes on that fits the rules. Not your favorite book, but the closest at hand: The rules are as follows...
1. The book must be over 123 pages.
2. Find page 123 in the book.
3. Find the first 5 sentences.
4. Post the next 3 sentences.
5. Tag other people
I hate to admit, but I am not much of a book reader! I love magazines, but books not so much. So I just grabbed one that I think about reading!
With that he scuttled past her, out the door, making a beeline for the woods. "your family will be mighty glad to see you," she called after the downy, black-masked critter, wondering how on earth the poor thing had ended up inside instead of out in the forest where he belonged.
From The Covenant by Beverly Lewis.
Now I don't know that many of you yet to tag. So if you would like do this...consider yourself tagged!

Happy Birthday....to me!
I cannot put in print how happy I am to be enjoying another birthday. Unlike, many before when I grumbled about how could I be getting so old. Now, after really wondering IF I would see another birthday....I honestly hope I get to be REAL old! So I am going to enjoy this day and every other day the Lord gives me to the fullest!

An award!
I am so excited! Katherine at Yellow Rose Arbor passed on this beautiful Blogging Buddies Award. This is my first award and I am so delighted, not only with the award, but with the kind comments she made about my blog. Thank you Katherine. As soon as I am able, after our visit with our friends, I hope to pass this award on....

More Tea?
Thank you for all the comments on my tea curio. Here is another view of the curio. Above it I have a shelf my dear uncle made for me 20+years ago. I keep some of my favorite tea cups on it. It reminds me of a tea room here where they have a shelf, and before you order, you go pick out the tea cup you want to use. Fun!
One day I will have to post all my tea pots, but this one is especially dear. It was my grandma's. I remember seeing it in the china cabinet when I was a teenager.
So sometime today, let's all sit for a spell, and raise a cup of tea and enjoy God's blessings.
My company from Michigan is coming in today, so I probably won't post for a few days. Until then......

Show and Tell attempt!
This is an antique curio that my mother had in our home when I was growing up. She got it from a neighbor and it wasn't new then. I have always kept my Teapots on it. Well, at least some of my tea pots. This is in a corner of "my room" which is where I scrapbook and keep my "girlie" knick knacks. On the wall to the right of the curio is an Avon collector spoon rack. My mother gave it to me probably 30 years ago.
I am hoping to be able to link this on as a show and tell....we will see if it works!

Our Living Room aka Large Hallway!
My husband always teases me about our living room. Because we rarely "sit" in there, as opposed to our family room, he says it is our Large (expensive) hallway. We moved from a home with a great room and I missed a formal living room. So, now I have one! And I like it. I do sit in there often, just to think quietly. Anyways....here are some pictures of it.
Inside the curio are various glass collections...one of which is my salt cellars. I have had the rounded curio for years and even though it is oak and my sofa is mahogany....it was staying! A lot of my wall art and decorations come from Kirklands.
I didn't repost the spider web chair, but that is also in this room opposite the love seat. As you can see, the coffee table is full of valentines things...I LOVE my big clock. Our neighbors tease us that if they are outside and loose track of time, they just walk by our house and can see our clock!

Searching for Hearts
After viewing so many of my favorite blogs...I was inspired to check my supply of heart items in my home. I know I had many more things when my home was "country", but I did find some. I did not repost any pictures of valentine's "stuff" that you have already seen. The above heart is a candle...taken looking down on it.
Little heart dishes in the guest room....for my company.
Collection on my nightstand.
This is a little tea light.
A dear friend decopaged this for me about 15 years ago. The little calendar is for February - the Love month and my birthday month!

Little glass heart attached to plaque I received last year from my grandbabies for my birthday.....Priceless.....
These are very special. My mom gave them to me when I was first married. They are tin and stackable. She has been gone many years..and I treasure these little tins...
New this year from Target
Just a little tea light I got the other day from Walmart. I had the flower tealight candle.

There were a few other things like magnets that didn't want to picture very good and then we won't even start with the heart jewelry...so I guess I do have heart items still. And as we all know....they will grow!!!
I Just love getting flowers!
My dh sent me these beautiful roses for Valentines day. He cannot wait! However, sadly, two of the roses were damaged. So I contacted the florist and they generously sent me another dozen. I could not believe it when that dozen also had a damaged rose. Damaged as if they had been cut up at the bud. So I have uniquely 21 long stemed roses, and three in a rose tea cup. My hubby is so good at making sure at least a couple times a month I have fresh flowers in the house. They may be from the grocery store, but I like those just fine too! I hope you all get to enjoy something totally special just for you on Valentine's day.
