Celebrating......

My husband and son took me out for dinner at a favorite restaurant of mine...Flemings Steak House.  Here are some pics....

 My hubby's appetizer....I won't eat this...carpachio...and he didn't eat the bread.  He has lost 110 pounds so far on low-carb.

 All three of us had the special...Filet and stuffed shrimp.  I cannot move!  But I enjoyed almost all of it.  Hubs wouldn't let the last bit of steak go to waste!

It was a wonderful meal and a great evening.  

I want to thank everyone for their birthday wishes.  I could not believe all of you here and on Facebook.....it was a true blessing!

Today is my birthday!  I don't mind tooting my own horn....cuz I never thought I would see this birthday!  But I am so glad and thankful to God for another year of getting older.

Because one of my favorite stores has changed, and I do not like it.

JCP.  I tried to go with an open mind.  But first of all everything at our store was "different".  Different places.  No sales.  And they said 40% off....well, maybe...but I don't pay those prices.  I only buy if I believe it is a good deal.  I didn't see anything.

I did get a blouse...a sheer one, there was no under tank included.  It was 18.00 and I had a birthday 15.00 off.  But really, I could have lived without it.  If I didn't have the coupon...I wouldn't have bought it.

So, boo.

Happy Day AFTER Valentine's Day!

Remember 2 years ago and my hubby bought me 4 tires for my birthday and Valentine's Day?  He said, " Nothing says Lovin' like a new set of 4!"

Yesterday I got a beautiful card for Valentine's Day.

Today, my hubby went grocery shopping.  He always does that!  Anyways, when I got up this was on the counter!

When I gave him a kiss and thanked him....he said, tell the bloggers..."nothing says lovin' like Valentine's candy 50% off!"

I have always enjoyed Valentine's Day....I remember the fancy shoebox with a cut in the lid for all my friends to put in a little card.  We were really loved if there was a sucker attached to that card.  From those early days, I knew this day was going to be a favorite of mine!

Enjoy Valentine's Day with those you Love!  For me, that will be with my hubby, just here at home....but that also will include the other man in my life!!!  my Bentley Boy!

A Voice, Silenced, Too Early.....

I am not a star follower.  I loved the Monkees growing up...I would cross the street to meet Kevin Bacon, and I would be thrilled to have dinner with Anne Burrell. 

But I find it so sad about Whitney Houston.  Even though we don't know the details of her death, we know that she has had a difficult time in her life.  I just think that this is just another proof that fame, money, celebrity....doesn't make a person happy and secure.

I have often sang some of Whitney's songs.  But no one could sing them like she did.  God gave her a beautiful voice....that is now silenced....and so early.

Bentley says Thank You!

Mommy told me about all of the get well wishes you sent for me.  I am much better.  I guess I shouldn't lick Daddy's plate when he has something spicey....it tasted great....but my tummy didn't like it!!

Mommy gets all worried when I don't feel right....I tried to tell her but sometimes, she doesn't understand what I am saying.  I have trained her in so many words...I even know how to speak to her with things called spelling!  I really am smart.

Mommy wants everyone to have a good Sunday and enjoy the game.....that sounds good.  I like to play games like fetch and tug of war.  I better rest up for tomorrow!!

My New Cloche

I told you about the birthday party I went to last week.  We all bring a gift that we would like to receive and then we exchange gifts by drawing numbers.  Before my cousin came to visit I went to HL and was looking for a gift.  I found one (an adorable birdcage) and as I was walking around looking,  and there it was. The angels were singing.......

I fell in love.  It was 50 % off...so it was reasonable.  My hubby was a sweetie and told me to get it.  I just love it.  Right now I just have a battery candle in it, but I hope soon to find something much better!

...sorry about the sheet on the couch...Bentley isn't feeling good and I wanted to be safe with the couch.  I am hoping he just ate something that didn't agree with him, but I may need to take him in....I worry so much about that little dog....
