Ceekay! Oh, bless your granddaddy's heart! That looks like such a scarey job and dangerous too! You look wonderful! Hope you're doing well. Be a sweetie, Shelia :)
Thats awesome! I would love to visit a coal mine someday. My husband has worked in the coal industry for 30 years ~ I am thankful for those miners who work so hard!! : )
So scary ...bless his heart..that must have been a hard life. I saw "Coal Miners Daughter" movie and loved it...but felt sorry for her daddy. Hope u are feeling good, CK
My heart always goes out to coalminers and their families. A job that needed to be done but so dangerous and dirty. And not healthy at all. Thanks to your grandpa for helping provide coal for people who needed it. Thanks to those who still do. ~Adrienne~
I'm thinking it must have been hard work. It really must have been interesting to walk a mile in your grandfather's shoes. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hard life! I am sure that you had a new appreciation for your grandfather.
I have been by coal areas...but near in a mine. Coal mining is a hard life. Blessings to your family, xoxo,Susie

Whew! That would have been a tough living!

Hi Cee-Kay
yes...it's all interesting.
though, I don't do confined spaces too much. :)
But getting a sense of your heritage? I'm all for that.

Too dirty, too cold, too wet. A coal miners life is not for me either!
