Away in a Manger

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed....

The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head...

The stars in the sky look down where He lay.....

The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes....

But little Lord Jesus no crying He makes

I love thee Lord Jesus look down from the sky

And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh.

Merry CHRISTmas
to all my blogging friends.

I pray you have a sweet and memorable time with friends and family
celebrating our Saviour's birth!

Oh that is so precious and sweet.

I remember my first ever school Christmas program. I wore the cutest red wool pleated skirt and white blouse and black patent leather shoes. First grade. And I remember we sang this song.

And today? They pretty much took God and Jesus and the REASON FOR THE SEASON out of school. I shudder when I think of this - but your sweet post reminded me of a day long ago and what that song still does to my heart.

I love thee, Lord Jesus! Thanks CeeKay! Merry Christmas!!
