There were 5 sales on our side of town today. We hit them all, but of course, it is the last day, so most of it is sold. That is fine because we really don't need anything that bad. Everything is usually 50% off.
I did find this cute magnifying glass. It cleaned up nicely....and the end screws off and there is an eyeglass screwdriver. $1.00
Then I saw this sweet thing. I passed it up because it was more than I like to spend...but then my husband said, you better get it if you want it. So I went back and got it.
I am glad now I spent the $10.00. I probably will find more now for less, but I really like it!
Bringing my camera collection to 4!
Can't wait till next Saturday!!

It helps to have a husband who encourages one to do the "right" thing. Sometimes a gal can be so frugal that she denies herself some little joy. Cheap therapy and a very cute Brownie to display!
Isn't it just the thrill of the hunt?! I'm so glad your husband sent you back for the camera!
Hugs ~ Mary
LOVE that camera. That was the only one my Mom had to take pictures of us when I was a kid-xoDiana
I think you were right to go back for the brownie!
So glad you got the camera, it is wonderful and great for your collection. Hugs, Marty
I love that camera. It was worth the 10 bucks!
There was a Jennifer Bowlin display at the Country Living Fair. She is online seller of scrapbooking and vintage finds. Her cameras aare always so expensive. She had some vintage cameras at the fair that were so expensive. You got a deal. I have three....and I don't think I have gotten any of them for that price. Someone posted somewhere a while back that they got a whole box of vintage cameras at a sale for $5.....a big box. I don't think she even was aware of how sought after they are. I like the magnifying glass as well.
Loved seeing your finds. Adding that camera to your collection was the right thing to do.

I love your Brownie and I think $10 is a great deal. I've seen them for as much as $25. A great addition to your collection.
Fun finds and well priced too! I saw a Brownie camera at the estate sale I went to on Saturday, but they were asking more than $10. This owner had quite a big camera collection, but I passed on them all. (It was also one of the dirtiest I have been to. Lots and lots of pet smells. I wanted to take a shower afterwards!) I did find a couple of small things to sell on easy, but not much. Maybe I should have waited for the 50% off day too.
Hi Ceekay! Oh, yes! I'm glad you got the darling little camera! You're on a roll now! Hope you've had a good Sunday.

Love both finds Ceekay! I picked up a magnifying glass this weekend, but at $10, I passed as it was pretty beat up. Yours is so nice!! Love the camera too!

Love that Brownie camera..:)
Everybody is going to yard sales and finding great stuff...I am busy hauling all MY stuff to Goodwill...
they say a move equals a big fire...and I believe it.
It feels good to have less to dust..worry about...store...I've probably given away stuff that I will want sooner or later...:(
I'm glad you went back! I don't think they are all that common...at least not here.
I have my mother's old black box Brownie camera and It's in her curio cabinet that I inherited when she passed away. Cute little magnifying glass too! I haven't been out there for awhile due to the terrible heat! Over 100 every single day!
Fun finds and great bargain on the camera!

I have not been thrifting or to an estate sale in awhile. I love doing it too. You scored some goodies!
What an adorable magnifier, CeeKay!
And your camera collection is really coming along. Love the way you've grouped them.
Hugs,
Patti
Hope you're doing well, Ceekay, and thanks for popping in to see me.

Great finds, CK! I've always wanted a pretty mag. glass...I need one more & more often these days.
I didn't remember you collected Brownie cameras. I wonder if DH has one in his old trunk downstairs??? Will check for you.
Hope you're feeling better lately.

I think it was worth ten. I paid $8 for mine but it needed a good cleaning!
