2014 - are you kidding!

I  haven't fallen off the planet.  Just very busy.  My hubby was home last week, so I took advantage of the help and got all Christmas put away and everything clean.....

We had a fabulous Christmas.  One of the best I can remember in quite a while.  Hubby got me a new camera, which I am still learning.

I want to wish all of you a Wonderful New Year!  Full of Joy and Blessings......

Thank you all for being my blogging friends.....I appreciate your comments, encouragement and mostly prayers.

BE SAFE!  Shame we need to say that, but there unfortunately are some rough characters out there and a few too many nips at the juice!!  Us, we will be in BED!!

Away in a Manger

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed....

The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head...

The stars in the sky look down where He lay.....

The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes....

But little Lord Jesus no crying He makes

I love thee Lord Jesus look down from the sky

And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh.

Merry CHRISTmas
to all my blogging friends.

I pray you have a sweet and memorable time with friends and family
celebrating our Saviour's birth!

Not Mine....Theirs!

I went and got chemo Tuesday and I had to share these 2 photos with you.  People are so clever.....

That evening we took our transportation of choice, the Golf Cart and I took some shots of our neighbors homes decorated.  We however ARE NOT one of them!!

This is typical AZ Christmas humor!

Now did some senior climb up on that pole to put the snowman there?  I'm just askin'!!

Lots of people put their decorated tree on the patio.  I would worry about my ornies...but hey, as my hubby would say...."whatever floats your boat!"

So there it is....a touch of Christmas, 55+ style!!!!

My Carolers....

They are not Byers, but I think they are precious.

My hubby found the lamp this year at Cracker Barrel...Perfect!

The carolers are standing on old caroling books.  Remember those when you went caroling?

Our little tree!

This is the little tree in our dining area.  I did it black, white and silver....it is so pretty.  But then again....it is black and white!

A Vintage Christmas wreath

Organized Clutter is having vintage Christmas decor party and I am there!

I made a Christmas wreath for the kitchen a few years ago....

This little cake pan was mine when I was a child.

I found the little spatula at a sale...

The little measuring cup was also mine as a child.

The cookie cutters were my mom's.  I have a LOT more!

A cute little rolling pin.

Another of my mom's favorite cookie cutters.

Lots of memories in one little wreath.

My Putz houses

I was so happy to be able to attend the Putz/Blogger party at Meri's.

My dining area this year is done in black and white.  I already had this gorgeous plate and I just thought the houses went perfect with it.

This little tree my mom gave me about 35 years ago!

This is my chair decorated for the holidays....I do NOT let anyone sit on it!

Just a little more Christmas around our home.

Our Christmas Tree 2013

I didn't want to do a white and silver tree this year....so I did gold, copper, and brown.  I think it is so beautiful.  Of course, pictures never do a tree justice....but here it is!

Bye Bye Fall, Hello

Christmas!

My hubby has been home this past week and I cannot tell you how thankful I am!  He helped me pack up all the Harvest and put up the tree and helped me decorate it yesterday.  It isn't totally finished, but I did it so different this year.  I did gold and brown.

But, I finally have one of those dough bowls.....and I took all my vintage ornies and put them in the bowl.  That is different for me also!  Hubby said, "I like that!"

Every day I will try to put out a little more.  But so far, I am liking it!

Happy Thanksgiving

First of all thank you for all the prayers and comments on My Journey with Teal.  I appreciate them so much.  My doctor is giving me some meds for the side effects and they seem to be helping some.  I am not dancing in the streets but I am able to get up.

Spent Sunday with my family.....my son's new girlfriend and her 2 children.  It was so great to have everyone together.  My daughter made the whole dinner.  She did a fabulous job.  She is such  a worker, 2 kids, hubby, house, and works a demanding full time job.  But for her mama....she even decorated with pumpkins and napkins.....I LOVED it.

My hubby took this week off, so he has been helping me so much.  We have all Thanksgiving packed up and I am hoping that before the weekend is over we will have the tree up at least.

I want to wish all of you a great Thanksgiving.  We all have so much to be thankful for.  I hope that your family and friends take time to think on those things.  Sometimes, we take things for granted....and really we would have nothing if it were not for our Saviour who provides for us.  I am so grateful to be alive and see my family.  We could have eaten peanut butter sandwiches!
