Why are you sad Ceekay?

Because one of my favorite stores has changed, and I do not like it.

Can you guess?

JCP.  I tried to go with an open mind.  But first of all everything at our store was "different".  Different places.  No sales.  And they said 40% off....well, maybe...but I don't pay those prices.  I only buy if I believe it is a good deal.  I didn't see anything.

I did get a blouse...a sheer one, there was no under tank included.  It was 18.00 and I had a birthday 15.00 off.  But really, I could have lived without it.  If I didn't have the coupon...I wouldn't have bought it.

So, boo.

I agree with you!!
I used to love JCP, I think it is going to be a BAD thing......why do New CEO'S think they have to change everything???
We shall see......

I agree! I was saddened when I went in JCP last week. It IS just different. My shopping options are few within 50 miles, so I'll miss Penny's. Sally

I am feeling the same way! I was in our JCP yesterday and I bought some sandals...which are the same price as last year...but that's all I bought. I'm going to miss my $10 off coupons!

I have been reading about the changes at JC Penneys on Yahoo and I have yet to visit a store. It sounds like it was a bummer for you. I hope they figure things out because I LOVE their store.

I know their new tv ad campaign is soooo odd!

Their new shopping premise is "fair pricing all the time. " You won't have to deal with bogus sales or miss the good ones because they will have " great prices all the time. " Today I saw an ad saying that they will have the best prices on the first and third Friday of the month. Isn't that the same thing as the "sales" they were trying to eliminate? and what if you miss the first or third Friday sale? isn't that still playing the whole sale game, just like before?! It makes no sense to me. Just another advertising ploy, IMHO.

I too am no longer happy with JCP. Supposedly the deals are on the first and third Friday of every month. We will see....
I get my hair cut there and they raised the prices. There was such an outcry that they lower them back down to where they were. I wonder how long this new CEO will last????

Hugs,
Debbie

Our JCP has been going thru major changes this past year too. Everytime I've been in there, things are not where they were before. I'm not quite understanding the sales either. Maybe it will just take some time!

No sales in February? That used to be one of the best months for sales on winter items.

I've not been by to see how things have changed. But like you, I loved shopping the sales.

I was wondering about their "change". I havent checked them out yet but sounds like I may not have to. I was a HUGE Penny fan in my younger years, and then stopped. I LOVED that store.

Personally I'm done with them. between the annoying screamy commercial and the fact that anything worth having cmes up- unavailable at the time, when ya try to put it in your cart.. If they were trying to ruin a good thing- they've certainly accomplished it.
wavin bye to JCP..

sorry it made ya sad CeeKay.

We went to JCP in Daytona Beach today to buy my husband some pants. I've never seen so many stacks of shirts and pants everywhere! We didn't even go to the ladies dept. I like it better the way it was. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!
