Just some of my Stuff!

I cleaned MY room today.  It isn't a studio, but it is all my things.  Decorating items fill the closet.  I changed a couple of "tabletops"...so I thought I would share.

I moved the pictures to the top of my mom's hopechest...which is filled with dolls and gifts from my children when they were in school.  The picture of the gentleman in the band uniform is my grandpa.
Where the pictures were on top of the singer "table"  I placed the old typewriter box filled with some tea books.
This child's tea set with the flowers was a gift from a friend.  The teapot was damaged so I just used a mini one I had.
I need to thank Liz for this idea....
Tea books, a Blessings plate, heart pillow made from antique quilt and a favorite teddy bear of mine.  She goes all over my home!!

Isn't her face adorable.  The old doily for a scarf....
And she has a teacup in her paw....
Picture arrangement over the table.  The one on the left is black and white copies of my mom and dad's wedding, our wedding, and my hubby's parent's wedding.  The one on the bottom right I put together of my husband's baby pic and graduation picture and of me, same thing.  I found a poem on the internet.  The Home Sweet Home frame with various family pics....was my mother's frame.  It must be at least 40 some years old.  I took it in a few years ago for rebacking and wiring....ooooh, that was NOT cheap...but I am glad I did it!
This was my rocker when I was little.  The bear was a gift from my son when he was in High School.  It is a Build-a-Bear...see the underwear...you know how the kid's always wore their pants showing the underwear.  I hated it....but I cherish that bear.

Well, just a bit of My Room.  I filled it with Tea Pots and Pictures.  I always breathe easy when I am in there.

I will be joining Marty for Tabletop Tuesday and Terri for Teacup Tuesday.

Ceekay, looks like you've been busy and having fun rearranging. Looks nice. I've noticed several in Bolgville who are changing things up. I'm getting inspired to do a little switching around here too.
Enjoy the weekend. ~ sarah

Hey girl...how are you? I love how you surround yourself with those old photos of family...I do that in my study...I am wanting to make a collage of some black and white pic of my grandbabies to go over my desk...there is just something so comforting to have a special spot where you can go to surround yourself with bits and pieces of who you are...
I love the teddy bears...I collected bears for years and had an entire curio cabinet filled with the 'Cherished Teddy' collection...I passed them on to little Sofie last year.

It is rainy and gloomy down here today...perfect day for another paint project...I just finished painted an old bookcase thingy that came out of my son-in-law's work shop..wanta guess what color I painted it!!! lol lol have a great weekend sweetie...Picket

This is amazing...I have a similar rocker that was my son's..It had brown paint that has worn off in places.....and I have a sewing table..mine has a marble top and instead of the iron sides, has wood but it has the treadle and all from the center.

Ceekay, this room is so special with all of the meaningful treasures in it. I heart the idea of the typewriter case filled with treasures, and I love your childhood rocker. I think that is so cute that your son thought of the Boxers showing for the Build A Bear for you. laurie

Cee Kay,
What a lovely room redo! I love your hope chest. I have my Mom's too! And I love the vignette you created on your Singer Table. I wish I did not give away my typewriter and the case it came in ! It would be almost 40 years old now and I gave it to a church flea market! Was I nuts then or what???
A truly lovely post and I really enjoyed my visit with you!

Hugs,
Debbie
