My Early Saturday...

My husband got up early with me and took me to a church rummage sale.  I got some great finds.

Now I don't NEED these china tea cups...but when they are a dollar?  Oh yeah!!!

Doilies - 9 of them for .50.   yes, you read that right!
And the sweet little bench - .50.

When I saw Karen on Thursday she surprised me with a gift.  That really is against the rules as we have said no gifts every time we see each other.....but I will forgive her!

Back in August Karen and I had a private swap.  I filled a basket with items I thought she could use to alter.
Well she surprised me by giving me back an antique album, but she did alter it and in MY COLORS!!

It is GORGEOUS!!

It is for photos of my girlfriends trip to South Carolina and Florida I am taking this spring.  I am so thrilled with this album.  I had it for years and never did anything with it.....

Well, it was a good day.  Life is so wonderful....difficult, but wonderful!  I hope you have a blessed Sunday!  Talk to you again soon!

Joining Terri and Martha for Teacup Tuesday.

I'm just getting around to visiting the folks that visited me this week ... and I've been on both your sites. You hang in with TEAL ... I'm a 13 year survivor and while the battle is with me everyday ... I continue to be thankful for all those who supported ... and still support me. Believe in the power of prayer ... and know you are in mine. Thanks for sharing your great finds ... I'm crazy about doilies! You found some good ones!

Love those teacups! Especially the last green one! Gasp!
Are you going to paint the bench! I have started a collection of them by my bakers rack with my picnic basket on top. Love them!!! Am hoping to find several more old ones in Round Top.
I am so glad you like the photo album. I was worried when it started getting really thick but there was nothing else I could do so....what the heck! I had such a great time doing it for you! It calms me to create....and my life has been so hectic lately.
Boy did it rain here last night! It was awesome! I love it when it rains and we are in the coach...sigh.
HAGD! Me.

Your cups are both gorgeous. I love the botanical pattern and all the gold on the first cup and the pretty colors on the second. What great thrifty finds. The doilies and bench are pretty too.

Your friend did a fabulous job on altering your album. It will be such a wonderful keepsake for your trip mementos.

Hi Ceekay Sweetie...
A beautiful share this morning. I love your teacup finds. How pretty they are. Even the little doilies are just gorgeous. Love those church rummage sales.

Your book is just gorgeous. Can't wait to hear all about your Spring trips and see the book filled with many memories to last a life time sweet friend. Karen has so many crafty ideas locked up in that mind of hers. If we could only pick that brain for an hour one day, what wonderful creations we would find. I am so happy that you all found each other.

Have a glorious day sweet friend. Many hugs, Sherry

Ceekay, what amazing treasures you found! I love church sales - people dig things out of their homes that haven't seen the light of day in years, and they are usually so reasonably priced. Those tea cups are gorgeous! What a steal to get that bench and those doilies for 50 cents! I love your "trip album" that Karen made for you. How special that is. laurie
