On the First Day of Decorating....

my body said to me....What do you think you are doing??????

Nope, I am not a twenty year old anymore.  I may think I am, but my body says NO WAY!

I starting decorating and I am in love with it so far, but I am no way near done.  I tried really hard to get some pics of my black Christmas tree.  It is so hard to get it to look as gorgeous as it is in person, but I tried.

I found the precious plate at Homegoods.  I thought it so said Christmas.  The creamer, sugar, S& P I had forgot I had!  They were a gift from a friend from CB.

More to come....eventually!

Ceekay, Our Christmas trees are similar in that they are decorated with red birds and other ornaments. I have cardinals on my tree. Yours has peacocks or some sparkly bird. Your tree is very very pretty with its little red purse and shoes.

Oh, how I smiled when I read this. I haven't even put away my pumpkins and turkeys as yet. But I did bring the box down from the attic. ;-)
Tomorrow is soon enough to pack it. Then I'll be bringing out the boxes of Christmas things.
Have a great week. You are well on your way with the decorations.

Very pretty Ceekay!
And I know what you mean about the not being 20! But then again, my 20 year old daughter has no interest in decorating for Christmas like we do.
Hugs and take care,
Cindy

I know what you mean about not being twenty. I am moving slowly and my tree seems too big and I do not wish to buy anything for it. I love your red ribbons and ornaments.

You really have been busy! I love to see other's Christmas decorations! Love your tree! I need to get busy. I have garland on the mantle but that's as far as I got! You've inspired me.

Boy do I know the name of this tune. And I am only dong one tree this year! I think I would do more if I didn't have to work - maybe someday! MAYBE SOON! (ya never know!)
I think it all looks great! Just pace yourself and do a little each day and you'll be done in no time!
I went in to my old shop where I used to work today. It was so lovely and I SO DON'T MISS ALL THAT DECORATING! I can remember not wanting to take a single thing out here at my own home after doing all oaf that in other people's homes all day. UGH!

Mark's brother and his wife and our two little nephews leave tomorrow for their new life in Colorado. I am so jealous! they are now leading the life I always wanted . . . sigh. it was so hard to say goodbye! I cried and cried and cried and felt like an idiot! LOL. I guess the good news is, I know have a room waiting for me always in Colorado! YAY!
Well, back to finishing my living room tree.
HUGS! Me.

You are off to a great start on Christmas Decorating. I have never seen a black tree, and it looks stunning with the red decorations.

I've started my decorating this week as well, and have a naked tree sitting in the living room while the fireplace mantel has a just finished quilt decorating it...I'll do the Tree tomorrow...hopefully!

Enjoyed my first visit to your blog. Hope you'll have time between hanging ornaments to stop by and see my Christmas Quilt and Dining Table post.

Oh wow...I LOVE the black tree and it would so be great for here at the Love Shack ;) Where did you find it? Don't dump on yourself when it comes to getting it ALL done...I don't have anything done yet...lol Been too busy PURGING...but I'm so ready for the holiday stuff now. Be sure to stop by and check out my stamp sale and please share it with your friends and family...I'm so hoping to raise a lot of funds for my favorite charity. Thanks a bunch, fondly, Roberta

Beautiful tree and table top Ceekay.

It is taking me awhile longer to get things done this year and I am not doing as much. Not giving up, yet, just moving slower.:-)

I am loving it! I am not 20 anymore either, and not as easily motivated. Seeing everyone else's deco is helping tho. Can't wait to see it all.:)

Your RED TREE is Da-Bomb! If I hadn't gone with a soft palette several years ago RED would have been my second choice. I'm NOT a blue lover so that was out. I was SICK OF GREEN and so RED was it! Sometimes I really miss it.

Hope you are doing well girly girl. Tell your hubby to look at my pics. I want you to take a picture of him GOING NUTS. I love it when men go over the edge.

hahahha

Love you~

Rebecca
