I wanted to join Kara for her partay today. She showed us her gorgeous Christmas trees and asked for us to show ours. Actually, if you talk to my hubby he says I have 9 trees up. I don't count the little trees, but he obviously does! I am showing our main tree. You have seen it in previous posts.
I love my white and silver tree. It is not a big tree or fancy, but every year when it is up I can't think of any other tree I would like better. I add ornies every year. You would think it has enough, but I like it full!!

Small Town Christmas
Now technically, Buckeye AZ is NOT a small town. It is a huge area. But we are still a town and pretty much out in the country still. This year we went to the Light Parade. It was so cute...little kids from their Boy Scout Troops and the Garbage trucks decked out in lights. We had a wonderful time.
I just love to partake of the simple Christmas pleasures. Hope you are doing the same.....
Have a great weekend..talk to you soon!!

Christmas Cloche Party!!
at Marty's! and The Reason for the season at Happier than a Pig in Mud. Come and see all the beautiful cloches and nativities.
My Christmas cloches you all have seen last Christmas, not that I expect you to remember with all the beauty on all the various blogs. But I loved the way it came together so much, I didn't change it this year. In my Living Room, I keep it all about the Nativity. The real reason for the season!
I just love this Nativity...see the little feet???
I sit them on my New Testament from the Holy Land.
Old ornie from Sunday school.....
Sweet Baby Jesus.
I know this is hard to see, but it is a nativity that is about the size of a quarter.
Another Sunday School piece.
I just love this piece. I believe it came from Kirkland years ago.
Oh, I just love this....
So there is my Christmas cloches.
Guess what I am doing tomorrow? I have Liz from Rose Vignettes and Marty coming for Christmas lunch. I cannot wait!!
Oh, I finally figured out the odd things on my cloche picss.....it is the lights from my tree.....
I enjoy the lights every night. It is so pretty even if I have to say so myself!! Have fun at the party!!!

Some more Christmas
I just love all the sweet Kitchen trees I have seen around blogland. I don't have room for a tree but I thought I could put together a wreath. This is really 2 - dollar wreaths that I wired together to make it fuller.
See the little measuring cup....was mine when I was a girl. The rolling pin is from Amish country in Michigan.
I put my mom's favorite Christmas cookie cutter...and the little round pan was what my mom would make me a cake in when she did a full size cake. I have kept it all these years!
This little tree is on a small curio in our hallway. I just put the tree on a pedestal. I love the garland...it is snowballs. All the little ornies are for my grandchildren...someday. I buy new ones each year. See the little gingerbread man. My daughter bought that for me when she was about 14 at a school bazaar...oh, if you ever come over, trust me, there are 100s of stories like that....all over this house. See Laurie....I collect stuff too!!!
You will get a chuckle out of this...well, I did. I made both my kids boxes of Christmas ornies from their childhood. And I added some items that I didn't feel I needed to use anymore. Well, I went through those boxes and some of the things came back in for me to use....hey, I didn't give them to them yet...so technically, it wasn't taking a gift back!!!

I am so sad....
Elizabeth Edwards passed away today. I so admired her strength and dignity she showed while battling cancer and her personal life. Very sad and although I never met her, I will miss her.

Christmas Fun!
I had a wonderful weekend. Friday evening my church's ladies group had a tour of Christmas homes. It was so much fun seeing everyones decorations. Then yesterday Misty and I went to a tour of historic homes in Phoenix. We were over the moon with excitement. 10 gorgeous homes and I can't even guess how many fantastic vendors to browse. You really can't take inside home pictures. But I did snap a couple of things....
One home had the singing Christmas trees in their backyard by the pool!
The home tour provided trolley rides to the different homes...Hallelujah! It was a lot of walking!!
Phoenix is an interesting city. Here in really the downtown area...and they allow chickens!
I live in a subdivision in the country and I can't have chickens!!
I am still tweaking Christmas around our home. Boy you go to these tours and get more ideas!! But I really think I am about done. I KNOW my body is about done!! Hope you all had a great weekend too!!

Isn't this doll amazing. This was our favorite home and I snuck this picture!! Bad Ceekay! We were squealing like little piglets in every room. It was so sweet. These homes are VERY small built in the 20's, but full of character!
How about this for a mailbox? All the bills for the Mail....and the goodies and packages for the FeMail!!We finally got someone to snap our picture. We just had the best time!

On the Fifth day of decorating....
I said to my husband.....look what I did for you!!!
Ok, now really, have you ever??? My husband for years collected the Hallmark Star Trek ornies. It has been years, but I decided to put up a little in our den for him this year...see I told you I have gone nutz!!
The first ornie...say Happy Holidays, Spock here...live long and prosper!
Isn't it a thing of beauty????
See the little snowman. It is the grumpy snowman....it says things like Bah Humbug and I hate Snow!
The other day we went to CB for lunch. I wasn't going to buy anything but then I saw it! ( Insert visions of trying to pack up all this stuff in my head!) My husband said, you are kidding right? I said, oh, I could so use this for my Christmas luncheons and stuff! Soo with rolling eyes, he took it up to the register. They know us there already!! But seriously, isn't it cute!!
Tomorrow is an exciting day for me. My girlfriend Candy is coming over to help me decorate the main tree. Then tomorrow night, is our church's tour of homes. I so love visiting other homes and seeing how they decorate. I love taking walks at night when the lights are on in the house also!! Admit it, so do you!!
I will talk to you again soon....have a great weekend.....and fun decorating...because you KNOW you are just like me. It won't end until we pack it away!!
