Last week for Show and Tell one of the participants showed her charm bracelet. I thought I would do that also this week. The first charm bracelet was started by my mother when I was in High School. There is a typewriter, piano, clarinet, band, a car!, sweet 16, and some from travels to Henry Ford Museum, Merrimek Caverns, etc. I wore this bracelet quite a bit when pullover sweaters were all the rage!
This bracelet was my mom's. She always wore gold. It has charms that meant things in her life.
This bracelet started when I graduated and then married. But by then they were not so popular anymore.
But everything comes back again! This is the bracelet I made while on my Mexican Riviera cruise. I got a charm from each of the islands. Sea horse for Puerta Villarta, the anchor for the ship, crocodile for Ixtapa, Sombrero for Alcapulco, another Villarta, Iguana for the iguana I held! in Puerta Villarta and the Sea Lion for Cabo San Lucas!
I only wish I had thought of this when I was in Hawaii, although, sometime I will have to show my ALOHA bracelet.
I love bracelets. When I worked in the office and they would depict me in anything, I always was drawn with a bracelet on!
Don't forget to stop by No Place Like Home for more Show and Tell's.
Before I close today, I wanted to post my award from Alex. She sent this to me before her surgery. It is a very special award and I am so happy to have received it!

I have recently revived my charm bracelet (started in 1958!) I added a lot of charms of every place we have traveled. I have planned to show it on S&T, and was waiting to get the camera to take pictures of it! Wouldn't it have been funny if I had done it today!
You have some very special charm bracelets! I used to always wear bracelets when I worked too! Something else we have in common!
Katherine
I love your charm bracelets. I especially love that you have your old ones. And your moms. So neat!
Hi thanks for stopping over. I was reading all the posts tonight and was going back to comment in the a.m. thanks for coming on by.
I love your braclets btw. I have a couple myself. Great idea you had to make one to remember your trips!
I would love any free help. I had put the background up last Friday and had problems with it for a couple of days. It wouldn't load or would load really slowly. So I tried to take it off altogether by just changing templates. The background stayed with the new template. I think it looks ok now so I hadn't fiddled with it anymore. But if you can tell me how to fix it I would appreciate it so much. I was planning on working on it again on Sat.
Thanks a bunch for offering!
I hope you have a great Show and Tell and lots of sweet comments.
Smiles,
Sherry
A great bracelet and a wonderful memory of your mom!

Charm bracelets are classics! I've seen a few companies 'redo' them over the years like Monet and Liz Claiborne. I bought a few oldies from eBay.
Yours are really pretty!
Thanks for visiting my blog. : )
I remember my mother had a charm bracelet that I would play with as a child. I started one about 5 years ago and only have 3 charms. I like your idea of buying charms from different places I've traveled.
Have a great weekend Ceekay!
Brandee :-)
Girl, I knew you could do it! I'm shopping at Macy's this weekend.
Thank you!
Brandee
That is a wonderful charm bracelet, and you just give me the best idea to give to my daughters and that is to start a charm bracelet for them while they are young. What a perfect show and tell!
I love all the different ones. I have a couple that are stuffed in my jewerly box. That's where they will probably stay, unless they really come back big.
Your Mom's are very special.
Your bracelets are so neat! I have my mothers charm bracelet too.
Blessings
Linda
I remember so well my youth and the popularity of charm bracelets and comparing the newest charm you've bought/received. Fabulous. Loved visiting today.
My show n tell isn't what I had planned to do this week, the hurricane Dolly prevented me to have much online time this week since the time I did have was updating on the storm coming through our area. Next week, I hope to have my 'tears' show n tell. This week, I opted with photos I had on the computer already - bric a brac in our master bath. Come by if you can. I'd love a visit from you...and, HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND.
You have a great collection of charm bracelets. I especially like your very first one and your Mom's - how special.
Have a great weekend,
Kim
Your charm bracelets are precious, so many memories to cherish when you wear them. I remember you had to have one when I went to school :). Thank you for sharing your beautiful bracelets and memories.
Have a Fantastic Friday!
Kathi :)
Those are so sweet and special! I am trying to think if I have ever had a charm bracelet -- I don't think so! But I like the idea. If I had a daughter I'd love to begin one for her. Maybe I'll have a granddaughter some day!
Love your charm bracelets and these are beautiful :) Thanks for sharing!
I have a charm bracelet from MANY years ago - I think I'll go get it out and wear it.......just for fun!!
thanks for the inspiration.
I like your bracelet collection. I think charm bracelets are so unique. Thanks for sharing.

What lovely charm bracelets you have, definately treasures to keep forever. I wish I had a charm bracelet---I should start one for my daughter!
Julieann
Your charm braclets are very neat with a memory attached to each charm. My daughter would love one of these. I will have to get to work on seeing what is out there for charms.
Angela
How nice that your charm bracelets serve of mementos of places you've been.
Those are such neat bracelets. I lost the one I had in high school and my aunt used to give me charms for it. I'm hoping I will come across it, or my parents will. Thanks for the reminder though:) Maybe I should start one for my daughter!
Charm bracelets have such special meaning. They are definately something to pass down.
PS I love your Holy Land buys.
I enjoyed seeing your charm bracelets. I have one I started in the late 60's, but then they went out of style. I have seen those being worn by some lately.
I'll keep Alex in my prayers.
Thanks for taking a peak at my blog. I came over for a visit and love, love, love your charm bracelets. I was buying my Mom charms for hers but she stopped wearing it because it caught on her clothing. Maybe I'll have to relieve her of it. ;-) By the way, tell your husband you could also collect hose nozzles and flower frogs. Mine rolls his eyes too.
Your charm bracelts are wonderful! I love the sound they make when you wear them and they are just such sweet reminders of special times in our lives. Hugs, Lidna
loved seeing all your different charm braclets, I think that is one type of jewlry that will never go out of style, way abck in the day when I taught 3yr olds one of my mother's had the most beautiful coin bracelet I'd ever seen, I've searched for coin bracelets but haven't found one that holds a candle to hers
Helen
Your bracelets are so special. I'm so glad you showed them today.
Cookie
Those are so cool. I always wanted one but never got around to buying one.
This is a neat way to keep your memories of places you have been.
I also own charm bracelets, but I don't wear them for fear of loosing the charms :)
Thanks for stopping by...

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. You have a great thing going here too. Love the bracelets. Reminds me of my mom's charm bracelet from high school.
Blessings,
Libby
Your charm bracelets are beautiful and I loved hearing about all the special charms that you have!
~Kelli
All off your charm bracelets are just delightful.
Charm bracelets. I wish they would come back in style. I think they might. Yours are lovely. I have one from about 1969 that I loved to wear. It's been put away for many many years. Maybe I'll get it out and share it some Friday.
Hope you can drop back by my blog to read about our new Spiritual Sundays blog.
Have a great weekend.
I think you and I started charm bracelets at about the same time. I have a Sweet 16, a piano, a flute, a Fitzgerald pennant, a graduation cap...etc. I should photograph it and show it off - I never wear it anymore. I have a charm on every link - it's heavy!
Oh yeah, I have that charm of Grandpa and Grandma, too. Cool.
Connie
What a collection -- love all those charms!!!
Enjoyed this post of your wonderful keepsakes of bracelets and charms! You've got me thinking of starting a charm bracelet again!
Blessings to You!

Is that a turtle I see on that third bracelet?? I LOVE turtles (and dragonflies). ha!
Thank you for your continued love, support and prayers. It means so much to me. More than you'll know. Hopefully, tomorrow, I'll start getting some answers.
*hugs*
Sorry Alex..no turtle. The only animal type charm is a dolphin. But now that I have been to Hawaii, I wouldn't mind a turtle on it either!
love your charm bracelets. I have never had one, but now I am thinking they look too good to pass up! thanks for visiting my show n' tell last week!
Hi Ceekay!
I found you charm bracelet. YAY!
