Late Show and Tell - the Phantom!

I am struggling to get caught up from our jaunt to Vegas. It reminds me that I ain't as young as I used to be! We had a wonderful time in Vegas. I will later tell you all about our heavenly suite, but for today's Show and Tell at No Place Like Home, I thought I would show the Program from Phantom. I tell you, I could hardly contain my emotions during the play. They have a theatre that is all built just for this production. It is amazing! We sat right under the huge chandelier. This is the beautiful program. I don't usually buy them, but this one I HAD to have!
One of the pictures from the program.
Here is the title, notice the O???
My husband surprised me with this pendant the next day. It is all rhinestones and is the about the size of a half dollar. I just love it and it will be such a wonderful memory every time I wear it of a fantastic anniversary. I would say to anyone that hasn't seen Phantom that you really should make it a priority on the "bucket list". You will not be sorry.

When the movie came out I had three teen sons in band. They listened to that music over and over. One son HAD to have the soundtrack, and every where we went in the van-WE listened to it over and over-and sang along-VERY loud-VERY off key-my sons would try it hit all the heroine's high notes-aaaahhh goodtimes! I have seen the movie and someday will see the play. I love your pendant-how sweet of your husband! Thanks for sharing!

Oh I share your joy and excitement on seeing the Phantom for your anniversary!!!! What a beautiful pendent and special remembrance.
We went to it as part of our several celebrations for our 50th this year. Here is where I blogged about it http://penlesswriter.blogspot.com/2008/07/phantom-of-opera.html/
I agree everyone should see it if given a chance.

Hi Ceekay,

I just got your birthday message. Thank you soooo much. It's so fun to hear the voices of blog friends.

I wanted to see the Phantom in Vegas but didn't get a chance. I can't wait to hear about the Vegas trip. What a beautiful pendant.

I loved the Phantom. We saw it in London when we took a vacation there. I loved it so much, I wish I would have bought the CD of the music. I love the pendent your husband bought you!

Awesome!!! You could wear the necklace on Halloween!
I saw the Broadway show when they were in Philly back in about 1992-3. I loved it so much. I still love to try and hit the high notes to 'Think of Me'. The director, Hal Prince, was sitting a little bit in front of us.
Glad you got to see it in Vegas. Maybe someday.

What a beautiful pendant! Thanks for visiting my blog. I didn't have a picture of me wearing the Annie dress, but I shared one of me with my Annie lunch box. :)

I seen the play in Toronto and Detroit. Fantastic! The movie is very good, also.
My daughter has sang with Doug LaBrecque, who was the phathom in Toronto for 9 years.
I love your necklace CeeKay.

Your neckless is beautiful! And so special because your hubby thought of you. My hubby and I went to see the Phantom of the Opera when it was playing in Toronto. It was an unforgetable experience. We bought the sound tract and listened to it all the way to Toronto and back. Thank you for bring back such a pleasant memory to me. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Carol

Glad you had such a good time in Vegas. We love to go there. We don't gamble although I don't think it would be wrong. We don't know how. We used to put a few nickels in the slot machines and maybe a quarter or two but we can't even figure out how they work now. Probably just as well. We saw the Phantom of the Opera in London. It was fantastic. I wouldn't mind seeing it again. I love the music. I love the necklace your husband bought you. That was such a sweet thoughtful thing to do.

Hi Ceekay,

Sounds wonderful. I saw The Phantom twice - once in Detroit and once in Toronto. It must have been really spectacular in that specially built theatre. Also, what a beautiful necklace.

I've tagged you for a fun game. Come on over for a visit and see what it's all about.

Have a great day,
Kim

Hi! Hopefully this will get you to it. I just did a porch search and it was the second one down. Just go to the main front RMS page, click on "porches" over in the left hand margin. Then when all the porches come up, click on the tab at the top that says "top rated". Mine is currently the second one down. Let me know if you see it...it worked for me just now. Thanks, Susan
