Fall is creeping in at 109 degrees

Just let me whine for a second.....can you even imagine how hard it is to decorate for glorious Fall, the warm colors, the fall leaves....etc...while you are "misting"!?!
Please, Please let it get under 1oo degrees.....

Ok, I am done now! At least for NOW.

I moved my gorgeous runner to the buffet in our Living Room. I love to decorate for the seasons here as it is the first thing you see when you come into our home.

I fell in love with how the black looks on the runner. Nothing is new. The K plate is from Kirkland and under the small cloche is a black K. Those are glittered pears in the apothecary jar. The little pumpkin is a soup bowl and inside the black cloche is a darling basket with some wine corks.

On the counter I placed a candle holder that Marty made for me and filled it with these adorable noodles I just found at World Market. I wish I had another apothecary jar, but I don't....the fabic under the jar is from Hobby Lobby and is a napkin, and it has all the words of Fall, Harvest, Autumn, Thanks....
I hope you all have a blessed weekend....and come back to visit. You never know where Fall might show up....and at what degree!!!
Linking up with Marty for Tabletop Tuesday.

Hi Ceekay,
I like your fall decorations! See now with your warm temperatures and ours dipping down to freezing at night we should scramble them up together and average them and split them equally, hopefully getting a nice 70 degrees or so. That would be perfect fall weather! Hope you get relief from the heat soon.

Ceekay I am in LOVE with your amazing decor. I can't believe it is still so hot where you are. Can you hop in your car or a plane and stay with me awhile? You could help me decorate Fall'ish' and I promise you would not have to do it in the heat. Monday it is supposed to be in the 60's here and over-night lows 36 degrees. Ok, now I'm through whining too!
hugs

That is beautiful! I love the pasta shaped like fall items and the napkin fabric is so pretty! It's still hot out where I am too, but thankfully the cool night air makes it feel a little better for awhile atleast.

CeeKay, your autumn decor looks wonderful.. That K plate sets everything else off so well..
We broke a record here on the 17th, it was 92 degrees and it sure doesnt feel like fall, nor are they calling for real fall temps this coming week.
Till then we'll just have to decorate and pretend its chilly:)

Oh my word, I can't believe your temps are still so high!! 109?!! Things have cooled right down here, between 60's and 70's during the days, and I'm reaching for my sweaters already! (Actually, I'll be MAKING one soon too!.. Just picked out the yarn!)... Gosh I wanted to start at least a LITTLE fall decorating myself yesterday, but we had a great time at a church fair that is nearby, and I can't say I'm sorry about THAT! I came home with all kinds of fun little goodies!.. LOVE your decorations so far, and I got a kick out of seeing that Autumn PASTA!! Hope things cool down, and that you're enjoying the rest of your weekend! ~tina

Oh my, that is hot! We've been in the low 90s and I thought that was bad. I'd be whining right along with you.
Seems like a good plan to crank up the A/C and bring fall inside. You have done a great job of it. Everything looks so nice. Love that pasta under glass.

Have you heard that crazy Sherwin-Williams commercial that begins, "Ever wish Summer would never end?"! 'Makes me want to punch out that voice in the dashboard. LOL.

It's still warm here too, and I haven't gotten anything out for fall yet. We were out of town for a week though, so when I get everything from our trip put away, I'm going to start. Everything looks pretty there. I hope it cools down a bit soon :-)
Blessings,
Marcia

Hi Ceekay, it all looks so lovely. Just gorgeous.

I understand how you feel. It is finally in the high 80's here in Florida. Oh, how I long for the temps in the 60's. I would love it at 65 degrees year round.....I'm serious.

We just have to hang in there!

OK - you've inspired me.
I changed the comforter in our room to the winter one.
and cleaned my studio.
Now just bring on the cool weather - and some rain would be nice!
Your home looks just wonderful with touches of black throughout. It's a perfect autumn and winter home!

Hope it's getting cooler your way . . .

You're right -- black items are p.e.r.f.e.c.t with your runner!

I hear you about the heat Ceekay. It's hot in central Texas, too, and I need a windy cool front to blow through to make me get some more fall things out. I just now saw your Journey With Teal blog. I'm so sorry to hear of your cancer and I'm sending you a hug and a prayer...and a wish for cooler weather!
