Doctor's visit

Saw my oncologist today and know what the plan is. The tomotherapy really was quite successful. However, some tumors still do exist and they must be addressed. So next Wednesday I will be starting chemotherapy. I would have started today, but they need bloodwork first. I felt encouraged that I have opportunity to try and help this....but, chemo is chemo...and that is rather scary. Right now we are going to try a type that shouldn't take my hair. We will see how effective that is. So, you know what I know!
My son lives and works really close to the doctor's office, so he met us for lunch. That always puts a smile on my face!

Good looking son!! No wonder he puts a smile on your face. Praying that the chemo does its thing and is successful. I know it will be horrible for you, but if you can keep your hair that's one good thing. My daughter was on an oral chemo (Temador) and she didn't lose her hair. Just hoping and praying for the best for you. Sally

Sweety, just hold on to the Lord and don't let go. He will get you thru this. I hope this doesn't sound corny but....try to invision little soldiers going thru your body and killing every bad cell. Onward Christian Soldier.
Sending you big ole hugs.

Hi Ceekay. Just wanted to drop by and tell you that we were sorry you didn't feel up to meeting with us AZ bloggers today. We had a wonderful time. It was so great meeting the six other bloggers (besides myself) who were there. We all took lots of pictures and will be posting them on our blogs. I hope you are feeling better and will be praying for you as you face more chemo.

UGH for more chemo*!!! I'm sorry you're back to that again. I am still waiting for the results of my lab latest lab work. My ca-125 has continued to elevate with every test since my last chemo on April 6. We are hoping that it was elevating because of an infection, and hopefully will have gone back down since my antibiotics, so I am holding my breath and waiting. If it elevated again, I will be going back to MD Anderson. I am just waiting for the call from my doctor's office here as to when to come in for the results. *sigh*
(((hugs for you))) _Ashley*

BTW, your son IS a doll. Ummm, how old is he*? (GRIN)

Well glad you know the plan now, that is always helpful to relieve a little stress, and having lunch with your son I'm sure was fun.

My suggestion at this point is to get a Beatles CD with that song that goes something like, it's been a hard days night and I've been working like a dog and play it really loud and sing along, or just about any Queen CD, and just let loose and try to relax if even for a few minutes.

Take care of yourself, you know you have friends out here that care!
