Came home after my chemo treatment and went straight, and I do mean straight to bed. I slept 3 hours. I do not usually do that, but I think it was all the emotional stuff....I feel fine though, so far! When I woke up and came into the kitchen there was this beautiful arrangement waiting for me. I thought my hubs had gone out and got me flowers. He said, they are not from me!!!
What a wonderful surprise when I saw they were from my niece Lori on my husband's side. She has grown into such a beautiful and lovely young woman. I was beyond thrilled that she would be so sweet and take the time to do such a lovely thing for me on such a difficult day! A memory I will always cherish. Lori's precious mom, my sister-in-law Sue, passed away about 2 years ago, from cancer and way too soon.
I believe they are Gerber daisies....and the orange....my favorite color!!
The Lord sends blessings every day...even days we don't look forward to!

There's nothing better than receiving a beautiful bouquet of flowers to lift your spirits, and these Gerbers are so cheery. I didn't know about the chemo, Ceekay. I hope you will help fight off it's effects with some good super foods. I will keep you in prayer!

Ceekay,
You are my hero! You have an incredibly positive, upbeat attitude. With that attitude you are sure to win your fight and make it through the chemo.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful bouquet with us! Your niece sounds like a wonderful girl, and her thoughtful gesture says a lot about how much you must mean to her.
Thanks for the nice comment. "Juxtaposition" ... impressive word you used ... without or WITH sleep!
