I went outside - and

I went to an Estate Sale....

yep, that's right!  all by myself!!  and I got home too!!

This is what I bought....

First thing I grabbed was this crock...$3.oo (the smaller one)....and it was so funny, one of the men running the sale came up and said...maam, there is no liquor allowed!!  Everyone cracked up...

Got these scissors for $2.oo.  They are old and if anyone can tell me why they are curved on the end.  They were made that way....

I went to this sale because I knew they had rolling pins.  But when I got there...they were all gone, except for this sweet baby.

I put it on one of my other rolling pins so you can see how big it is....darling....$1.oo.

I had so much fun!!  But I am back in the air-conditioning...116 today!

You must be getting acclimated if you could be out in that heat. Sweet finds...now I'll be eager to see what anyone says about the curved scissors.

I can't believe how hot it is there. We finally got a break and were in the 70's today. I was so glad to see our heat abate a bit. I love you rolling pin...great find! Your other finds are great, too. xo Diana

Love doing that kind of thing. Great crock...the curved scissors?...my guess, maybe for doing needle work of some kind and getting under the threads easier? Let us know what you find out!

Fun finds. I was just in Las Vegas and it was 111 but it still seems hotter at 95 back here in Miami! Stay cool

Ceekay, your scissors are probably made curved to get under your pressure foot of your sewing machine or into tight corners. Then I could be all wrong,........LOL

Nice finds. I'm always so disappointed when I get there and what I had wanted is gone. Glad you got at least one pin though!

I live in Phoenix too, but where do you go to find estate sales? I didn't even know we had them here. I shop at GW, but I can't even find thrift shops other than flea markets. I love your mobile home; I have wanted one since I lost my Chandler home in '08, but I rented instead. I've always wished I had bought a mobile home instead, and be done with the housing issue.
Have a blessed day, Judy
