A Little Tour of Our Home

When my blogging friends came by they wanted me to show a tour of my home....So between my pictures and Marty's...I think you will get a feel for it......

Our home is 1300 square feet.  2Bedrooms, 2 Bath.... This is the Guest Bedroom

Main Bathroom

Laundry room, and that is being gracious...really a closet! Also to the right is the back entry door.

Part of Hallway toward bath and bedrooms..

Kitchen

Sort of an Entry way....

Dining Room.....

Living room....

I didn't get my Master Bedroom photographed yet...but that will be another day.  Trust me, every inch of this place is used.

Now, I know there have been questions....so let's answer some of them.....

Am I happy?   Yes I am happy that this home is functional and I did the best I could with what I had to work with.  I am happy that my husband is less stressed with the heaviness of that mortgage.

Do I miss our other traditional bigger home?  This is where my husband would say.."Is the Pope Catholic?"  Yes, I miss it very much.  I loved that home, but here is where the Lord brought us.

What do you like about your new home?  I love my kitchen faucet...I am crazy about my apothecary bathroom, I love the gated community...

What don't you like about your new home?  2 things.....I HATE my closet.  It is too small and laid out stupidly.....and I don't like the patio being open, it gets dirty too fast.  But we do have plans to enclose part of the patio hopefully this Fall.

Are you sorry you moved?  No.  I can honestly say that the Lord has given me peace.  We have found a good church and I am meeting some nice people.  I am closer to my doctors.

 Life is Good

Talk to you later.....Ceekay

Thanks for the tour, your new home looks beautiful - I once knew a girl whose husband moved them around ALL the time, and her S-I-L told me once, "Sally (name changed) can move into a place and make is lovely and cozy immediately." That's what you've done, CeeKay, and I'm really happy that you've adjusted easily and made new friends. Hugs ~ Mary

Very pretty. Now, I'm not in to all the bling and things...I like things pretty dust-collecting free - but I have a limited bit of things on the wall. So, given a fairly sterile budget...when are you coming to decorate mine? You of course would be under contract to keep the frilly stuff to a bare minimum! Lol

You have done a good job decorating your small space. There can be just as much happiness in a small house as a large one! I am glad you are settled, feeling fairly well and happy!

You have done a great job in there, Ceekay! It really looks good and lives big. Your laundry "room" is just darling and if you have to have it open to go in and out the door it is really nice to look at!

I'd say God has given you a wonderful spot to land! xo Diana

You've done a sensational job with your new home. Believe me, I built 23 homes from the ground up and when completed- regardless of how well planned and designed, they each had their positives and negatives.

Peace, is one of the greatest human accomplishments . I am happy you both have it there..

Thanks so much for the tour, Ceekay. I love your new home and the way you have decorated it. It looks like you've been there for years. I had fun checking out all of your vignettes. You have such a knack for putting them together.
I think in any house there are things we'd like to change.
It's great that you and hubby are happy ... that's what really matters.

I love what you have done with it.

A house is not a home and a stressed out husband has an unhappy wife. Enjoy it!

Hi Ceekay! I agree with the others - your attitude is wonderful and where the Lord is there is peace! Now I love your new home and you've decorated it so beautifully. Glad you got your pretty faucet and your granite countertops. I have little bitty closets in my house. I hate that but it's not going to change! :)
You're so right. You've seen what I've been pinning on Pinterest haven't you? :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Cee Kay,
I LOVE how your new home looks! It is warm and inviting and charming! I think you and your hubby did a terrific job!
I can only imagine how hard it was to leave your other home but everything happens for a reason and this is where you are supposed to be at this time.
Some day, we will have to leave our little townhouse because of the 13 steps I have to get to the front porch. My Arthritis is going to dictate that we move to s one floor place which we deicded will be a nice 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment in the complex that both of my sons now live in. I am looking for maintainence and tax free and central air!

You did a beautiful job and should be so proud of yourselves!

Hugs,
Debbie

Sounds like you have the perfect attitude. Sometimes life throws curve balls and you can try to catch them or just get mad. I think your new home is wonderful and if life is easier can it get any better than that? Happy Sunday Ceekay!

Your home is beautiful Ceekay! I am so glad that you are happy and that you are getting used to your move to a new place. I really am happy that you lie the area too.

I LOVE my home and it is also a prefab home. Dale and I have changed about every single thing about it. I still would like to get rid of the popcorn ceilings, but I can live with them.

Hello CeeKay
Might be smaller than what you had, but it's cozy and tastefully decorated. We moved to a house just a tad bigger when we downsized and I have no regrets - much less to clean.
I like the huge sunflower you received for a house warming gift.

Hi Ceekay,
You have done a beautiful job of decorating your new home. Everything is lovely and so well done. Home is where the heart is and you have put your heart into making your new house a home. Bravo.....
Have a sweet day and sending you big hugs, Elizabeth

First, I love knowing you are happy! Second, I absolutely love what you've done with your home. You inspire me and give me hope, my friend. We are talking of the day we downsize and I have struggled with the thought of all my pretties that won't fit in another home. But why do I worry? Your new, smaller home is bigger than my 'big' home we have now! It's well laid out and I know it's where God has us for now. That's what is most important. So glad to hear about your new church and friends. you're a dear!

Ceekay I think that you have made your home so warm and cozy. I love all of your vintage touches. The green scale is fabulous and I love the apothecary bathroom also. A while ago I did a post with you in mind. I did it a couple of months ago. I think it was titled No Vacancy if you want to check it out.
Hugs,
Jann

Marty's pics are great... but it is soooo much cuter and cozy in real life. I loved being in your home Thursday! And more importantly than anything... When I asked you if you felt safe here you were quick to say "YES!" That made me happy. :)

Love you girlie! :)

I don't know the whole story about your moving but your home looks lovely! My home isn't very large either, but if you are creative with space it works! It looks like you've got that part down real well! I've never had a big closet so I wouldn't know what to do with it!! LOL....actually I took over our 6 ft. bedroom closet (just deep enough to hang clothes) and put my hubby's things downstairs in another closet! That's where the 2nd bathroom is and it works well for him!
Looks like you are all settled in!
