Good Week So Far!

I went to my oncologist today.  I must admit that I was nervous.  He had hinted about changing my meds....according to my scans.  But Praise the Lord, they were the same...no worse, no better.  So I stay on current treatment.  I know I don't mention much here but the current chemo has some side effects....I have put on weight, which I hate, my hair is a bit thinner and my legs are not as strong as I would like.  However, I feel fairly good.  Being thin was fun, but feeling sick every day to your stomach is not....so....I am happy overall.....

My husband made me a little craft.  I had seen something similar in a store that was wayyyyy out of my budget.  So I drew it and he made it.  Now, granted, mine is not perfect, but because he made it for me, it is more than perfect to me.

Our main bathroom has an apothecary theme....sorta!  I am thrilled with my new sign.

After my doctor's appt....we went out for lunch at a new spot with our Groupon....It is Five and Wine in Scottsdale.  We shared a bruscetta plate and each of us had a yummy salad...

The decor is all painted doggies...you can't see it here, but they are almost 3 dimensional....It was fun!

Well, I won't whine about the heat...because I know the whole US is suffering this year....so try to stay cool and talk to you all soon....I have a treat coming up this Thursday!!!

Hi Ceekay, I'm glad your numbers etc haven't changed and that you won't have to take worse chemo drugs. My sister(who've I shared with you about)gained a lot of weight from the steroids and her hair got thin as well. Girl, you amaze me; just continue doing what you're doing. I love the sign your sweet man made for you, love your antique bottles as well. Stay inside and stay cool.
Hugs, Noreen

Your husband created a beautiful sign, handmade is the best. Your choice of food sounds like just what we would like too.

Yay for a good report! Boo for side effects.

What a peach your hubby is to make you that adorable sign. I've not seen one nearly so cute. Some things are better than spending the big bucks that's for sure.

You stay cool, too. I'm doing fine up here in the hinterland.
