It's 111.....what can we do?

After hubby and I whined about how hot it was too hot to do ANYTHING....he says, lets go to Westgate and have lunch. OK, I said, that means I have to put makeup on!
So we go to a new restaurant there called Saddle Ranch.....it is very AZ!

Wanna ride a bull???

Ha Ha!

Hubby got a chuckle out of this one!

After lunch we step outside and saw the dancing fountains. I stood as close as I could to get wet.....

Afterwards we went into the airconditioned AMC and saw Despicable ME.....this movie is so cute.....the kids in the audience were really enjoying it, as were we.

Came back home....got to enjoy the airconditioning that we are so dearly paying for!!! But it really was a fun afternoon. And yes, my shirt does say her royal highness, the Queen. I have to wear it occasionally so someone who will remain nameless - doesn't forget!!

I love the t-shirt, you should make a sign like that for your wall!!! Looks like you had fun, even though it was too hot to be outside!!! Thank goodness you have air conditioning!
I can't wait to see what you make with all the pretty bottles!!!

Hello Ceekay~111!!!Oooh my that's Africa hot!! I spent my 20's living in the dessert in So-Cal, I remember the (dry) heat and how it seemed hot,but I was acclimated, unlike now...living in the Pacific Northwest I don't tolerate the heat very well, not to mention the combined experienced with the addition of hot flashes. Feels like a slow turn on a rotisserie.

Those signs gave me a chuckle, but the Queen-T was the piece de resistance. :)
Thank heaven for central air...I have to admit I'm envious especially since we've had a heat wave this week topping off around 100!
Try to stay cool my friend.

sweet wishes,
Sara

How fun... I love the shirt. You look so beautiful! I'm glad you had a great time. 111 degrees is horrible! Think of pre-air conditioning days. No, don't! I would never want to make anyone panic! Hugs... from Missouri at 66.

Maybe today mother nature will give us some rain. A girl can always hope right?

Hi Ceekay!! That looks like a fun spot to eat...especially fun is standing near the water found when the temps are so high!! You and your hubs need to come to KC!! We've been having showers all morning and the temps are wonderful. We have rain predicted, off and on, for most of the week.....but warmer weather is on it's way back. Of course we never hit 111 !!! If we did, with the humidity we have here, it would be a sauna!!

I loved the photos of your recent trip, too, and all of your great little finds! The flea market on the 4th looks like something I would LOVE to be doing, too!

Hope all is well with you, Ceekay, and that you're having a good weekend! L, Dana

Hi Ceekay,
Well I have to say you do 111 very well! You look great and sounds like you have some fun too. I just know anymore if it got much over 90 I'd melt! I would definitely have to re-adjust to the heat. Fall is just around the corner and it will be beautiful there then!

Yup - that's hot. But GIRL! You live in ARIZONA! It's supposed to be hot! (Chuckle.)
I love the shirt. Every once in a while - certain people (ahem!) who yes, shall remain nameless, need just a teensey reminder. YAY! Me.
