I rearranged!!

I don't know.  I tend to move slower now.  So something that many of you bloggers do on a weekly basis, takes me a while.  Like this latest change.  I have been thinking about it for about, oh I don't know, a Year!  But I knew it would be a job...and it was!  I switched the cabinet behind the family room couch for the half table by the dining area.  I LOVE it!  I had to take everything out of the cupboard and that is saying somethin'.  It gave me a little more room by the dining table and the woods match perfectly.  The half table makes the walkway behind the couch so much more open, although it really isn't.  So, take a look and see if you like it.  I hope you do, cuz, I ain't moving it again soon!

Put the same things I had just put out on the cupboard.

I took this pic so you could see the dining area and the color of the wood.

You can see more behind the couch so I foofed up this area a bit....
Don't you just adore lanterns?  I fixed mine to have a nod to my trip to glorious Florida...

This is the table behind the couch.  After I saw this picture, I did center it better.

I am quite pleased!
Joining Cielo for Show Your Cottage Monday and Marty for Tabletop Tuesday, and I am legally doing so this week.  I really am showing tabletops!

It looks wonderful Ceekay and I too move slowly and it just means we are probably more laid back and relaxed, right? What's the hurry we eventually get to it! Hugs and have a great week! Marilou

I'm more like you. I don't really rearrange the furniture that often. If I like it stays. Of Course until this house I moved every 5 years. So maybe that's why...

At any rate... I do like this set up. Anything that gives you more space is fine by me. I love what you did under the window... :)

It looks wonderful Ceekay. I often catch un-centered objects with the eye of the camera to. My head is fine but every thing else is sore but that is another story! Have a lovely Sunday. hugs♥Olive

Great job rearranging Ceekay! I was thinking the other day that I really need to do more of a summer theme on the mantles now instead of my flower branches. With all the traveling the next month for camps etc I am not sure when that will get done!! Wanna come help!?

I love moving stuff around, make you feel like you have a whole new house. I always notice stuff after I take a picture, dust, dirt crookedness!

Love the switch. Both tables are gorgeous, but I love how open it looks now behind the couch. Your table arrangements are both so pretty. You did good. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

My dear, I would run circles around you rearranging! I often wish I could stop, that the cycle of needing to rearrange things would just stop. But then my eye wanders around the room...

It looks great Ceekay, and I love those scrolly legs on that half round table. I do adore lanterns, and I really like the way you put the giant sea shell in with the candle. laurie

Hi Ceekay! I've so missed coming to see you! I love the way it looks and I know what you're saying...I go to bed thinking of what I want to do and when I wake up in the morning, I don't do it! :)
Love your sofa table too.
Thanks for your sweet words.
be a sweetie,

Your redo is brilliant! I love the table behind your couch AND OH YES I do love lanterns! Murphy's Law suggests that if you keep yourself surrounded my lanterns "The power won't go out"!!! Hmmm Does it work, WELL YES, but I never know where my matches are SO that jinxes it!
Happy 4th of July!!!
Have a wonderful week,
Hugs to you,
Donna

I'm so glad you stopped in for a visit so I can now visit you! Thank you for leaving a comment.

I can so relate to this post, not just for the rearranging I don't get done around the house, but even with blogging. I don't know how all these great women do so much!

You did a great job!

Looks like you've been having fun. I like to move things about too, but the furniture pretty much stays in the same place. ;-)

Hi Ceekay...

Ohhh...I love the change, my friend! Moving the half table to behind the sofa did "open" up that area! It may be about the same size as the cabinet but because it has an open, airy feel to the table...it feels like you have more space! Ohhh...and I love your antique cabinet!!! Girlfriend, it's gorgeous and it really does look beautiful with your dining set! I think you made a smart move with switching these two lovely pieces! I also like how you "foofed up" the area over by the sofa. Oooh...I love your lantern too...it's so pretty with the shell! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home with us, my friend! Ohh my gosh, and I hear ya about getting things done around the house! I stand in awe of these gals who are constantly changing things! Where do they get their energy? I need some of it! wink!

So glad that you stopped by my place for a visit today, dear lady! I really enjoyed your sweet note!

Warmest summery wishes,
Chari

What a nice, fresh looking open change, Ceekay! I LOVE the look of the wrought iron legs against the fabric of the sofa & you're right....the woods in the dining area match perfectly!

You've got some gorgeous pieces. Thanks for sharing them with us.
I'm like you...don't move things around much either. Last time I had DH move my massive mirror from LR wall to over the buffet, he had a ♥ attack the next day!!! Yikes! No more heavy lifting for him!

Hugs,
Rett

This is beautiful Ceekay. I'm also a slow mover gal! Since I was 60, a few months ago, haha, I don't think I move fast...anyway, I'm not running any where! lol. I love it where you did the vignette, such a pretty piece of furniture. Love the dining room and I see a little Patriotic table.
I don't move furniture around, ever, it's just where it is, does it!! Lots of hugs, take care. FABBY
