Mother's Day Show and Tell

I already mentioned that I had a wonderful Mother's Day....Here I am at the restaurant with my two favorite people...my grandchildren. But you must see the gifts my daughter gave me. First a beautiful Orchid...now, it probably will not survive, but it is pretty right now....BUT, the best gift?????
I could barely contain myself. I was so thrilled with this gift.

My babies handprints!! I am telling you, no diamonds could top it!
Don't forget to visit Kelli for more Show and Tell's. It is such a fun day!

How adorable they are!! That's the best gift when they make it themselves.
They are sweet kids. Give them a hug for me.

Good Post!! Infact I have somthing to share on Mother's day. My daughter came over a week before Mother's day and asked me a strange question, “Mom – why aren’t you quilting any more?” I had to stop and think about it. I’ve been sewing and quilting for as long as I can remember. I told her I was just too frustrated quilting at night when I get home from work. My eyes hurt … I just couldn’t concentrate. My biggest problem is dark thread on dark fabric. Not to mention threading the needle!

Well, for Mother’s Day I got the nicest, most thoughtful thing my daughter has ever purchased for me. She bought me an OttLite lamp. Not just any lamp, but the quilter’s dream lamp. It’s a floor lamp with a magnifier attachment and a clip that holds papers, thread, patterns, pictures. It’s like an extra arm. Plus, the head is so wide I can use it over my cutting table and my sewing machine.

The light is something that I can’t believe. I can actually see my navy blue thread on my navy blue quilt when I’m piecing everything together. Plus, I can tell what is black and what is navy. The best thing is my eyes feel so much happier. Now, I can come home from work, turn on some music, quilt and relax. My daughter is happy to see me quilting again and is going to buy another OttLite for her mother-in-law next month for her birthday.

oh how sweet, couldnt ask for a better keepsake gift. Sweet adorable children. I have a sweatshirt that my husband had made for me with a picture of our 3 girls on it when they were very young, and i still have it and occasionly will put it on, they are now teens.

The hand prints and your grandchildren are adoreabel! The orchid is lovely! I had one once, the only place I could keep it alive was our bathroom on the southern side of the house. I guess it like the moisture, for the bath was small. So glad you had a Happy Mother's Day!
