Trim the Tree Thursday and Giving Thanks- Day 13

On Thursday at Hostess with the Mostest, we are to post a Holiday decoration. Now I do not start decorating for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. I believe so many people overlook that wonderful Holiday, a time to give thanks for all that we have been blessed with. So I went through some pictures from last year to start getting in the mood. I, however, do not need help in this department because I LOVE Christmas. I start thinking about what I want to do in July! which of course drives my husband crazy!

But my husband is the first to start decorating, outside. This is our polar bear...this year - he has a new Igloo to sit next to.

Nothing doing, hubby had to have these singing and moving to the music trees last year. They were the hit of the neighborhood.

And he also had to have 2 nutcrackers to guard our front entrance. Remember, last year pictures, so who knows what will be out there this year!

Day 13 - Today I want to give thanks for the beauty of flowers. My husband and I worked in the backyard for a good part of the day, planting petunias and pansies in pots. Everything has to be hosed down from the wonderful dust storms we get here in AZ. I just love when the flowers start "taking" and the pots fill out. Right now we are getting butterflies all over the place. They seem to like our lantana. Anyways, I love flowers and I am so thankful that we can enjoy them outside, or in, and any time of the year.

Can't wait to see your flowers and Christmas decorations.
It's good to be back to blogging.

Thanks for your prayers, love, cards and concern during his heart surgery.

Your husband has a few things in common with mine! He is eyeing that machine that makes all of your lights sing and dance-he would be jealous of your husbands trees!

I decorate our upstairs before Thanksgiving, downstairs after Thanksgiving, this way we can host a dinner without Christmas decor-but I am still ahead of schedule!

Thanks for joining us!

We will be at our lake place for Thanksgiving, so I've started a little bit of decorating here. J started pulling different outdoor things out of storage, but we won't start the outside until after Thanksgiving.

Those singing/dancing trees are great. I'll show them to J.

You have a lovely blog.

I too normally wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate. This year I must break my rule and start early but it is for a good reason.

Oh I love the nutcracker! We started our son on a nutcracker collection when he as little. I hope he passes them down to his first child.

Enjoy your flowers - I would love seeing them all year too!!
