Giving Thanks - Day 17

I have been giving thanks for something everyday this month. However, this week at Kelli's we are also giving thanks this week to get ready for Thanksgiving! It is funny while doing these posts that it is difficult to pick "something" to be thankful for. I am thankful for even just the little things....but I don't know if I should post about them??!!?? So, today, I will cluster them together....things like the microwave oven, an electric curling iron, grocery stores practically on every corner, candles I don't have to make myself, Hostess cupcakes!!, front loading washing machine and dryer, DIGITAL cameras, oh, I could just go on and on, and let's not forget one that my grandfather always marveled at the availabilty.....he was born in the 1800's....toilet paper!

Now, you all are probably laughing...but I am telling you....I don't want these things OUT of my life...do YOU????

Love this. I'm thankful for all the same things. Maybe the toilet paper is the best. I've often thought how awful it would be to live in a country without this simple pleasure.
I think I only got 9 of the turkey questions right. I took it several days ago so I can't remember exactly. I guessed at a whole lot of them, and most of those I got wrong. I did know about the thawing in the frig one.

Such a cute post - and so true! We use these things every day and it's good to stop and be thankful for all the conveniences we enjoy. Thanks!

Too true, Ceekay! We overlook so many of the smaller things that we wouldn't want to live without. Blessings abound everywhere if we but look. Thanks for the reminder.

Now this was right on! I remember the days of Sears catalogues used down at my Grandmother's outdoor 2-holer...Never quite figured why there were 2 holes...who would want to share that space with someone else? Ugh... ;-) Bo

Haha! I sure don't want those things out of my life! My microwave is broken....it's amazing how many things I used it for! The teacups & saucer display in your header is something I'll have to copy.

I definitely don't want to be without that either :-) Actually I have gotten quite used to all of the things you mention. They sure make life run smoother and are without a doubt things to be thankful for.

I'm also thankful for your sweet and kind comments you left for me today. So appreciated.

Great post! I am thankful for the same things! We have one toilet that stops up easily, and when I get frustrated with it I try to remind myself that it still beats trekking out to an outhouse or cleaning out a chamberpot!!

Hey, who's laughing? I pick up toilet papper EVERY TIME I go to the store. You should see my linen closet, my laundry room, and behind my bedroom chair! It's all about the toilet paper! You are right, you don't want to run out of that!
