Day 9 - Giving Thanks - Hair

Day 9 - You know....I have one statement that now in my life is ALWAYS true! I NEVER, and I mean NEVER have a bad hair day!

When I learned I had to have chemo...the first thing I thought of was losing my hair. And I have a head of it!

And I did lose it! Every bit of it including eyebrows and eyelashes! And then the days came that JUST having no hair was little to worry about. But, it grew back...thick and (Grey!) as ever! Isn't God good!

I am so happy to have hair! So today I am giving thanks for my head of hair - may it stay as LONG as possible!

Luke 12:7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don't be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows. I praise my Lord for this precious verse. He knew every hair that fell out and gave them back to me, maybe even more! God is good all the time!

I had to add this picture of Kathy and I at the Cidermill in Michigan. I really love this picture, and I have to redeem us from the one she posted of us the other day!!!

Hi CeeKay~ Thanks so much for visiting Smelling Coffee!

And, thanks for sharing your gratitude to the Lord for having hair. I love that verse, and pray for the Lord to help me fix my hair every day - since He numbers it, He certainly has the power to help fix it! :-)

Congratulations on being cancer free and on having a head full of hair again.

Blessings to you this week...

I remember your no hair days...we spent many hours on the phone in mutual tears! I am also grateful that you have back your beautiful head of hair! Oh...thanks for redeeming us in your cute pic of us! Even though we look just as silly as we can in the pic I posted last week, I love it - a fun memory!
XOXO

Hair is a big thing here in our family too!! Hubby lost most of his hair during chemo, but not all (dark Italian, with hair to spare!) My hair is thin and baby fine so I have had many bad hair days!! I sometimes fuss on God for not giving everybody equal amounts of hair!! You are very blessed!

You also have beautiful eyes!

I've often read that people who have had cancer often consider it a blessing. I've never been able to understand that but now, reading your post, I think I do.

Even two years ago I would not have posted the picture that I have on my blog today. (It shows just how flat, fine and greasy my hair can be.) But now I just try to remember to be thankful that I have hair. :)
