This is Hard!

I know you don't want to see every picture of my trip....but mercy, it is hard to pick and choose.....there is so much to show you.....

After we saw the Monument of the Gods, which I showed in my previous post we went to this small town.

One of the stores wanted you to write on it's chalk board where you came from...

what a wonderful quaint town with the old buildings...

This is supposed to be good spring water to drink!!!...it ain't!

Mary and I.....

The next day we went to another town...sorry, maybe Mary will remind me of the name....

Now, I have seen deer before...however, these deer are not afraid of cars...they are right on the road...just walking and enjoying life...I could not believe it!

This is not with Zoom...that is how close they get!

The colors were at their end...but still beautiful!

Wanna go shopping???  Sorry, electricity is off today....no shopping!

I have to tell you a little story....some of my pictures Mary took...why???  cuz she pulls off the road, like in a ditch, the car is almost vertical on its side....I said Mary, we are going to tip over...."oh NO....we do this all the time! " Ok....can you take the picture please and get me out of here!!

Ceekay, What a lovely trip you had. I love Manitou Springs also and the Garden of the Gods is so beautiful. So many quaint shops.
So thankful you had such a good time and good weather. I was in the mountains last week and the colors were not as vibrant as before but still beautiful none the less.
Thanks for sharing!
Hugs, Noreen

You just have to trust the locals! Wow. Those deer are fearless. That is a sweet town...I was noticing all the architectural details and how the one building on the end is offset.

Love that fence pic. I know you had a blast. Just think if the car flipped what a story you could tell.

So glad you had a wonderful trip! Yes, I would love to see every single picture you took - if we could sit down and you could share it all with me. Wouldn't that be fun? Didn't you just love Mary? We stopped for a couple of days with them at their home last June. What a blessing! She's such fun.

I just love those deer! The people in the town must be very nice folks for the deer not to have any fear! Thanks for sharing your gorgeous pictures of the countryside, the colors are spectacular!

Jane

The deer almost look fake in the one picture! I would have been scared too. Glad everything turned out fine. Sounds like you had a wonderful time!

Ceekay- the little town with the deer was La Veta and the little town with the electricity out was Cuchara.

I was just trying to keep the time exciting for you by pulling into ditches- :)

So tired but the wedding was wonderful and the jacket worked out nicely with the $5. thrift dress I found! Just wish I didn't look so old in the pictures!!

Will try and get a post of our time and the wedding up this week though it looks like another busy week here!

Funny...I enjoyed seeing these photos as well as the ones in the last post....I have to sing that song when I see the glory of his creation, also.

I lived in Colorado for my last two years in HS. Then I worked for five years for a company based there as well (CURRENT/Colorado Springs). I traveled there once every year for meetings and each time the beauty renewed my faith in the majesty of God. Take it for granted sometimes I'm afraid.

Beautiful pics sweets. So glad you had a wonderful time.

Love, Rebecca
