I don't know about all of you, but this week has been crazy. I won't begin to tell you all of it, but honestly, I am a bit wore out. You know the kind of week where a bunch of little things add up and before you know it, everything is a bit cockeyed?? Yep, that has been my week.
And I have full weekend, part of which is getting ready for my trip.
So, I know I need to post a picture....we love our pictures don't we?
I will tell you a Man is from Mars story....
Wednesday morning, my man was getting ready for work. We always listen to Channel 10 Morning News and the main anchor always gives a motivational quote for the day. I was sitting on the computer (shock there huh?) and hubby was down the hall....so the motivational quote is given...
The most beautiful things in the world are not seen nor touched. They are felt with the heart.
So then they wait a bit and tell who said it. I am sitting and saying to the TV....Helen Keller....Helen Keller.
My hubby says, "what about Helen Keller?" I said, she said the quote. My mars man says "how did you know that?" I said, you are kidding right? I know it because......
IT IS HANGING ON OUR WALL! and has been for nearly 10 years. Haven't you ever looked at it...
Mars Man...."Nope"
Have Mercy!

ohh LOL..ceekay!!! hahaha..poor hubby! bet he remembers now lol
That is so guy....and so your hubby! Mine would not have been much better.
Yep, they are all from Mars! Doesn't it drive you insane to realize they simply do not hear, do not see, do not grasp, the things we consider important? How can a man live with a lovely quote on the wall, in his own house, for ten years, and not know it?? Because he is a man. Compared to most men, Helen Keller had 20/20 vision and perfect hearing.
RIGHT!? OH MY GOSH! That cracks me up. LOL!
I EVEN saw that! :P

How funny....men are just the most clueless sometimes! Thank God they have so many other good traits...;o)
See ya soon pretty lady.
Hugs,
Meri
haaahhhaaa....too funny...sounds just like 'em....:)
haha, some friends of mine had their kitchen remodeled. Been in their house for 15 years. Workers took down the green striped wall paper, textured and painted the walls a light tan color. When she asked her husband if he missed the striped wallpapaer, he said "we had striped wallpaper??"
=D You're obviously not decorating for him. Have fun getting ready to fly away, little birdie!
That is too funny!!! What would our men do without us to keep then straight! ha! Hope your preparations for your trip go well this weekend! :)
That's a man for you!

What a beautiful quote. I love Helen Keller. If I am not mistaken, I 'think' she might have gone to school in St. Augustine for a bit. We have the oldest deaf and blind institute in the country. I will never forget seeing the movie version of her life years ago. SO inspirational.
Yep, I can believe that Mars Man never saw it. I live with a Mars Man, too. ;-)
XO,
Sheila
Lovely. Hope you are feeling well
Haha, I love this ... my dear husband takes weeks to notice some things, and other things he never notices!!! You gotta love 'em!
LOL! I swear they are all the same.
I know just what you mean about little things and they all get together and everything is upside down! The saying is beautiful and no surprise from an amazing person!
Thanks for sharing,
Nancy

Oh, these "Mars Men" are a funny bunch, aren't they? That is a lovely quote, by-the-way.
