Here is What's Happening...

I saw the Oral Surgeon today that my oncologist recommended....and boy, was I happy with him.  He really took the time and explained everything and checked and said he didn't see any other immediate dangers for any of my other teeth.  He couldn't believe the dentist didn't start me on antibiotics...so he got me that and different pain meds.  I will have surgery on the 28th...that was his first opening!

Thank you so much for your prayers.  I know that the Lord sent me to this doctor because of all the prayers....if I had gone to the one the dentist on Saturday wanted...I really could have had some problems.  This surgeon is aware of cancer treatments.

I will be going to another dentist as well.  One that deals with cancer patients.

I cannot tell you how much better I feel about all of it...although I still dread surgery....

Ok, so I am planning on feeling better by tomorrow, once the antibiotics kick in....so I will post something more fun!!

Hope your week is going well....the weather here is beautiful by the way!!!  Yeah!

Hi Ceekay, So glad you connected with the right oral surgeon and got the name of a new dentist. We don't have dental insurance and it is so difficult for us. I had no idea the chemo would affect your teeth; I don't remember that with my sister.
So glad you'll be feeling better.

So glad you found a dentist you are comfortable with and feel confident in. I know you are not happy about the surgery (sorry you have to wait so long), but just think how wonderful it will be to have it over with! Really glad to hear the other teeth look good.

I can't believe that he didn't put you on antiotics either. It is good that they will have time to take effect before the surgery. I would change dentists as well. I just had some horrible experiences with Aspen Dental and changed to someone else. Messing with your mouth is like messing with your heart....there is a connection. Feel better.
