A Voice, Silenced, Too Early.....

I am not a star follower.  I loved the Monkees growing up...I would cross the street to meet Kevin Bacon, and I would be thrilled to have dinner with Anne Burrell.

But I find it so sad about Whitney Houston.  Even though we don't know the details of her death, we know that she has had a difficult time in her life.  I just think that this is just another proof that fame, money, celebrity....doesn't make a person happy and secure.

I have often sang some of Whitney's songs.  But no one could sing them like she did.  God gave her a beautiful voice....that is now silenced....and so early.

I just have been thinking today, our Lord's day....

This one life will pass, but
Only what's done for Christ will last.

CeeKay,
Such sad news...her voice was such a gift. I agree that fame doesn't make the life of women any easier...sometimes I think it must just compound the problems. I can still hear so many of Whitney's songs in my mind as I think of her.
Hope you are doing well...I think of you often and comment when I can.
Hugs,
Cheryl

Ceekay, I loved her in the movie "THE PREACHERS WIFE"
She was a gorgeous lady, and so talented. I was so sad when I heard she had passed.
BTW, I would cross two streets and almost walk a tight rope to meet Kevin Bacon. He and Tommy Lee Jones are my favorite actors.

Very sad that she passed so young. Those that are left behind, like her daughter will need prayers.

That was one of my mother's favorite expressions...may Whitney be safely home and may her daughter find her way through her grief...

A beautiful lady with an equally beautiful voice. Such a shame when these addictions take hold. She will be missed.

I am so saddened by Whitney's passing also. She was truly a gift and it is such a shame that she is gone. My daughter would constantly belt out "and I will always love you", and with my daughter having just turned 18 this past weekend and spreading her own wings, it saddens me two-fold.

I am sad...I was really pulling for her to beat her addiction and make a comeback. What a beautiful voice indeed.
