He Is Always Surprising Me!

Boy, there is an understatement.  I remember when my hubby and I were engaged....he promised our life wouldn't be boring....He has kept his promise!

Something I don't know if I have ever shared, but my husband does most of the grocery shopping.  He likes to go EARLY in the morning...like 6:00AM.....so Tuesday evenings we make out our list...I must be VERY detailed....and when I get up Wednesday morning, the shopping is done and the perishables put away.  However, everything else is out of the bags, like on display on the counter.  My hubs says it is the hunter man showing his hunt to his mate! (insert cave man grunting here)  OKAY....

Last week he left for the day of work before I was up and I came in to see the usual counter full.  But wait....oh isn't that sweet, he bought a Tea for One for me!! (I am thinking, oh, he hit a sale table...)

Isn't it cute????  But wait....what else is this????

Oh mercy....this is too stinkin' cute!  A cake server like a High Heel Shoe.  I just love it...and my surprises...and my Hubby!!

Have a great Sunday my friends!

Oh he's very sweet. I hope that he got extra kisses. That cake server is too cute...have never seen anything like it. Oddly enough, my husband likes to do a lot of the grocery shopping and I, too, must be very detailed or else I get a phone call from whichever aisle he's in.

You husband is a doll to find such clever gifts for you.
Today my dh and I shared a handmade ice cream downtown, spending some of a gift card he gave me for Christmas.

Oh my lands girl, I can not believe this! My hubby is a sweetheart and will stop at the store for me on his way home from work any time I ask. It's just to pick up a few things, not an entire list. Plus, he would not take a second look at a shoe cake stand. Really, he would have NO idea what it is. Still he's a keeper because he never says a word about what I spend and is so generous and helpful. Isn't it wonderful that the world is full of different types of people?

What a man! My guy goes all the shopping too! I hate going to the grocery store and don't even know what stuff costs anymore. Not long ago I had to run into Target (grocery side) and nearly fainted over the price of bread! Some things I'd rather NOT KNOW!

Love the shoe thingy (and pie!).

What a man! :) I'm not sure which I love more...the grocery shopping or the surprise gifts. :) My SIL has that same little cake server. I have borrowed it a couple of time. I love it! :) I think the little single serve will make the perfect cup of Earl Grey! :) Enjoy! Lucky girl!

It is very sweet of your husband to do the groceries for you. I bet he's about the only one there at that time of the morning. If I send my husband for milk, he gets whole milk rather than Fat Free (which we have been drinking for 10 years or so). I would have to draw him pictures of what the items look like so he would get the right thing if I asked him to shop for the real groceries.

I laughed out loud when I read the part about the hunter man bringing in the hunt :) I used to have a cat that would do it. She'd wait at the back door with her prey (usually a bug, but sometimes more). When the door would open, she'd take it straight to my room :) What a sweet hubby you have. I do most of the shopping, but when my hubby goes, it's at 6 am too!
Blessings,
Marcia
