I Am HOME!

Did you think I fell off the planet?

I got back to Phoenix on Monday....had chemo Tuesday and today...well, I am supposed to be resting, but I had to take a bit a check in with all of you!

Traveling and seeing friends is wonderful!  but so is being HOME!

I want to start to share some photos with you!

This is Rose and I....friends for about 37 or so years.

This is THE Monte Cristo from Cheddars!  If I could print this bigger I would!  Highlight of the trip!!  No, seriously!!

 Fantastic fries.....

Here is part of the group at Cheddars.....first time all together in I think about 12 years!

Now you KNOW I had to do it!!  Sheila!!  Some Bathroom Diva's for ya!

Ceekay! This is so adorable. And man that sandwich looks good! How wonderful for you to see your precious friends...37 years wow...you must have been a little toddler when you met...Big smile. Aren't we all young? You look lovely and happy in those pictures...so based on that I think you need to do this more often. Good for the soul! Fill up the gas tank of your soul...it looks good on you sweet one!

Glad that you're home safe and sound and have already had your treatments. Now you need only to rest up so that you can enjoy Thanksgiving with your family. You girls look as if you know how to have some serious fun!

That's a beautiful sandwich. I have a recipe for those, but I don't think anyone would describe it the way you described yours.

Glad you are home safe yet had a great time. You must be very special to maintain friendships for this many years!

Those Cheddar's onion rings made me laugh. The first time my family ever ate there, my dad was starving because he hadn't eaten breakfast. Then he insisted on ordering those onion rings, a salad, then soup, an an entree. You know their food portions are HUGE!

Nobody wanted those onion rings but him, so he had to attempt to eat enough food for about 5 people since we were too far away from home to take it with him.

This woman we had been chatting with in the lobby even came over to comment on that huge mountain of onion rings on her way out. Oddly enough, he hasn't wanted onion rings in a long time. Guess that did it for him!

Now that you've read my novel, I'm sure it's put you to sleep so you can rest like you're supposed to!

Ceekay, I just stumbled onto your blog and wanted to tell you that I hope you win your fight ! God bless you with many more years on this earth with your loved ones. I just saw another blog yesterday where the woman had battled ovarian cancer all her adult life. And she's still here ! I lost my mom to ovarian cancer, probably because we didn't know it until it was far past hope. So when I learn of someone else with this in their life, I send up a prayer. This I do for you.

I'm so glad that you had time with friends. These ladies are SO important, aren't they ?

hugs,
patty

Looks like you had a wonderful time...I love the bathroom photo...so original.
Now, rest and recuperate and don't overdo. Christmas is on its way but first, a day of Thanksgiving. I just read Lincoln's proclamation naming it a holiday in the midst of Civil War...so much to be thankful for this year...Blessings,
