Getting Ready for

Memorial Day 2011!

Tomorrow morning EARLY, my husband and I are going to go place flags at the cemetery in town.  We don't have any other big plans.  Just watching the old war movies on TV.

I finally got my table set.  I LOVE how it turned out.  The only thing I wanted that I just could not find was silver star napkin rings.  Or anything patriotic....I went everywhere and found nothing....so I just went with the ribbon.

I found these cute S&P at Kroger the other day.

The sweet little bowls are from Target this year.  They only had 2 left!  I think I got the spreaders at Target a couple of years ago.
I couldn't even begin to tell you where I got the plates.  I have had them for quite a while.  See my red flatware.  Remember I told my hubs that I would use it for Memorial Day, July 4th...
I can't help it...I think this is just tooooo stinkin cute!
These were from last year I think.  I just put them in plastic bags and pack away with the Cracker Jacks....

 These are straws.

This is our home....We are VERY PROUD to be an American!
 My kitchen towel...
These are napkins...but I didn't use them this tablescape...had to put one out though...It is perfect!

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.  I know it is a time for picnics and barbeques!  But I hope that sometime during these days, you will take a moment to think about the men and women who have and continue to sacrifice so much for our freedom and safety.  God Bless You!

Dear CeeKay...

First...LOVE ALL your RW&B decorations. How absolutely precious. We are not doing anything tomorrow but enjoying the day while being thankful for God's blessings. Sure would LOVE to crash in on you to see your table in person.

Now...about your comment~

Girlfriend~YOU BLESS ME. Sniff. You do. I know you've traveled this journey and I soo appreciate your prayers. Today I was feeling selfish and a total wimp. I'm so glad God knows my heart. He's so faithful to send me people like you to remind me that all that is good and right is worth waiting for.

Love to you~

Your little bespectacled bear is adorable as the centerpiece in his little wagon. So sweet!

We've been watching a lot of war movies this weekend, too, but did manage to have a cookout with our daughter and her boyfriend today. I hope to post the tablescape I did for our meal next week.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Hi Ceekay!
Love your table, I think those s and p's are adorable! I used to go to Kroger's in college in Ohio...people used to say they were going Krogering, which Ithought was hysterical, as in NY we would have had to say we were going A & P ing! LOL Silly kids!
I have that wagon too.
Love your teddy and the whole thing!
God Bless America, and you dear girl!
