Before blogging I was unfamiliar with Lilly Pulitzer itenms. But if you read Miss Janice, you know she loves her clothes and everything else! So while I was in Florida, Candy and I went to her store in Palm Beach.
Each dressing room is absolutely adorable. The only problem I had was the sales lady was right there so I didn't feel I could run around snapping pictures.
Her clothes are styled like the 70's, which of course, is one of my favorites. I was a teenager in the early 70's. I tried on a couple dresses....
The question?? Did I buy one?? NO - the sweet navy one above, I loved. The cutouts on the neckline were adorable, but it was $258.00. That is pretty much my whole summer wardrobe allotment. If I could have though, this would have been the one.
These are the chandies outside the dressing rooms. There were palm trees. So Palm Beach!
We stopped at Godiva on our way out. A taste of Peach Truffle. MMMM!!

I don't understand why they are so expensive but it could have been the location..cute dress.

Mark my words - I will have one of those dresses! (Some day.) I'll be haunting the resale shop we stopped at sometime soon.

Love that dress on you girly...love the blue one best, too. Love the dressing rooms... Have you thought about looking for the dress online? It should go on sale SOMEWHERE before long!
Happy day to BEAUTIFUL YOU! You look gorgeous. I love your little feet!

Oh, come on! You could have bought the dress and worn it everywhere all summer. Just kidding. It's cute but pricey.
I'd love to at least fo to one of the stores someday.
We must be about the same age, I love the green dress!

Omaga! Love the daisy one, did not know they were that pricey! Great lighting.
What a FUN store! My motto is 'it doesn't cost anything to try it on!' I'd have passed on $285, too!
Thanks for your encouraging words on my post..wish you could come, too! You would have a calming influence on me, I'm sure! ;-)
Blessings and hugs,
Myrn
I like Lilly's stuff. It used to be the rage out here in Southampton, even the men wore those Lilly pants with the bright colors. Her store here closed. I used to wait for the sales and pick up a little dress for my gdau, Lily.
Loved your Fla. post, looks like you had a wonderful time!
Well shoot! It looked great on you, too! Maybe you can find a similar look for less money.
Hi CeeKay Sweetie...
Oh I am so happy to hear you have arrived home safely and that you had such a wonderful time. I have got to tell you, you sure look beautiful in that blue dress. That would have been my favorite as well. How in the world can people spend that kind of money on one dress? Wowzer...
I loved seeing the ocean pics of you. Sweetie you look so beautiful. I love seeing you have such a wonderful time, and I have had a few little mishaps with a couple of those beach chairs as well. For me, I just found that I can roll out a lot easier than trying to get up.
Can't wait to see more of your pics from the turtle trip.
Welcome home CeeKay. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Oh my goodness you look so stinkin' cute! I understand why you didn't get it. Aren't you glad you can remember it in pictures?
Oh, that daisy dress is adorable. You look so cute in it :-) It looks like you had fun!
Blessings,
Marcia
Hi Ceekay! Oh, you look so cute in those very expensive clothes! I've never seen a Lily shop before! I just could never pay that for a dress.
Hope you're all rested up from your trip! :)
