Happy Thanksgiving My Friends!

How can it already be Thanksgiving?  I am amazed how fast the time goes by.  I know all of you are busy getting ready for this weekend, as we are.  So this will be my last post until the weekend.

I have to show my precious pilgrim people.  These were a gift from my dear friend Rose so many years ago....
My table is ready for dinner...well sort of!  We really have to redo it to seat all of us...but it still will look the same.

My sweet name card holders...new this year.  They don't have cards because I am going to enlist my grandson to write the names this year.  He is a second grader now you know!!!

I am so thankful for so much.  As I grow older, I realize how blessed I have been.  My husband is loving, caring, fun, and providing.  My children are healthy, and my grandchildren, well you know, there isn't anything not perfect about them!  We have a lovely home and many many lovely things to enjoy.  My husband is healthy and the Lord blessed me with another year of life, and a pretty good year at that!  I have a wonderful Savior and am blessed with a dear church family.  I have friends that cannot be topped!  and many of you are among them!  Blogging is a blessing to me too!
This is my husband's favorite Thanksgiving decoration.  It is a metal cornicopia...we always fill it with ghords and pumpkins.....

If I could hug each of you in person, and I am a hugger, I would wish you the best Thanksgiving ever!  Enjoy the day with your loved ones, be thankful for the good in our lives, and remember that His mercies are new every morning.  What isn't so great today, may be the blessing of next year!

Enjoy all that food!  Yummo!

I love your table ceekay. I have always wanted to "dress up" the table for holidays..but i come from a big family that well franky thinks its silly to do that. SOMEDAY I will do it..and enjoy it.

I agree with the getting older and realizing our blessing. My grandma told one day I would see that..I didnt believe her LOL Who knew she was so smart.

I am THANKFUL the Lord has blessed you with another great year :) I truly ENJOY reading your posts!!

Dear Ceekay, You are such a blessing!! You always have the coolest "stuff" to share with us...whether it's a vintage love of yours, or a "new" find. You keep coming up with wonderful items! I love this TGiving tablescape..and I can imagine how lively that table will be on Thursday as your family gathers around and celebrates the blessings that have been received this year.

We will have our son and his family and our girl and her new guy friend over for dinner. In fact, our son (the daddy of the grand girl and the grand boy) and his crew are coming over Wed. afternoon....and spending TGiving Eve with us! Now, they just live 30 min away, but they wanted to do that!! I am so happy....how lucky are we? Our daughter is finishing nursing school in just a few days (crossing fingers that all goes well with that)....and she has to work Wed. night, but will come over for dinner on TGiving.

I hope you and yours have the best TGiving every, Ceekay. You are a real blessing in MY life!! L, dana
