Slacker Blogger!!!

I would love to say that my bedroom looks like these pictures, but alas...that would not be true. I have started decorating, but it going SLOW. I keep repeating the word Simplify.
So please forgive me for using last years pics...but my bedroom is my hope to get finished this evening.
Tomorrow, my dear, patient friend Candy is coming over to help me get my main Christmas tree up. Last year I had two trees. This year, well, one is good!
What decorating is done on Saturday, is what decorating is getting done. The tubs are getting put away and I will move on to wrapping and cards. I HOPE!
I have enjoyed seeing all your decorating coming together. I went on a Tour of homes with my church ladies group. It was amazing. Beautiful, beautiful decorations. I just love all those huge ornaments that so many are putting on trays....gorgeous!
Please forgive me if I haven't left a comment for a bit. Honestly, I have been struggling a little with these treatments and sometimes, I just am not PERKY! But I do visit and enjoy reading all your stories about your Christmas heirlooms and traditions.
Hopefully next week will be a little better and I can show some of my "in real" decorations.
Till then, have a wonderful week!!

Hi Ceekay, I loved seeing your tree and the photo of your quilt from last year. Girl, no wonder you don't feel perky but your home looks incredible! I haven't posted photos yet as I've been busy with our new granddaughter but hope to get some photos up tomorrow. Big hugs to you today!

Oh Ceekay, I am so sorry that these treatments are taking their toll on you. Just rest and do what you can and let the rest of it wait for another season. I just have one tree too and a few things on the tables in the LR/DR and that is going to be called good. Used what I had and called it a day. Take care and rest up a bit. Hugs, Marty

Hi my sweet friend. I'm sorry you are not feeling up to your bright little self. Your treatments can be expected to wipe you out - so I think you've done a wonderful job considering everything. I wish we were closer and I'd just buzz over and help you with all of it.
By the way . . . you decorate your BEDROOM? Hmmmm . . . now you've given me an idea.
GEEZ! Mark would KILL me!! Better stop while I'm ahead. :) LOL
Write when you are feeling better!
Big hug with a little sway . . . Karen

take your time Ceekay! no rush. you can always enjoy the decorations after Christmas too! we leave ours up sometimes until February, lol. depending on how I feel after the holidays. especially if i get them out late to begin with, i just leave them up late too! or i take down anything Santa related and leave up winter stuff like snowmen, and the tree with all the lights and decorations! I hope the treatments start getting easier for you.

Hi Ceekay,
I think it's amazing that you can get anything done while having treatments. I think your a really strong woman, simplify this year, you deserve to take extra special care of yourself. Your tree and room in the pics is beautiful! Thinking of you and that pic in AZ of you holding the dollar tree mugs. Hugs, Cindy

I'm sure everything will look wonderful Ceekay. Now you can go with my way and just make very small things look big, that way it is not as much work! Otherwise shrug off what can't be done and know it's okay. Just smile and laugh and enjoy the season as much as possible!

Hi my sweetie! I adore your nativity under glass. So clever. Unfortunately I will not be able to join in on the party. My house is not even close to be decorated.
(The decorators house is always last.:)

Praying for perky for you!

Hey, you! I'm thinking of you and hoping you get to feeling better. You are ahead of me, Ceekay, and now I'm being sidetracked AGAIN!

Looooooong story, but I'm about to go nuts with workmen.

Sending big hugs your way...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Morning, Ceekay! What pretty nativities under your cloche domes! I love this area here in your living room.
Poor One, I'm sorry you're not feeling up to par! Your home looks so beautiful! One tree is enough now. :) How nice your friend is coming to help you. Maybe when she's through you can send her one by my way! :)
I'm getting over my shingles, but my energy is not there and when I do too much I get pains! I'm whimpy!
Take care, Sweet One,
Shelia ;)

Do you mind if I hold you up in prayer? I just found your blog, and love it. I'll be back. Thank you so much for visiting junkblossoms and for leaving such a nice comment. I was sure I would get a few laughs for keeping that wheel and hanging it in my living room. Looks like everyone likes it. Alright!!!

Hi Cheekay, I am so stealing your nativity in the cloche idea. I collect vintage wise men and I usually just line them up on a shelf. I put them under a cloche and they look awesome- thanks! Lisa

Hi CeeKay! Your home is looking lovely! We are simplifying this year too. Hubs just doesn't feel like moving furniture. We usually do 2 trees and this year only one will be in the family room. :(

On the good side.... The house is decorated.
