A Scare

Yesterday afternoon I decided to take a shower to freshen up.  I always massage my hair, for the reason I THINK it helps it grow faster.

As I was doing that I found a lump on my neck near my collarbone.  I immediately called my oncologist and he wanted to see me.

To say that I was, am frightened....well....

Anyways, I have no clear diagnosis.  I will see him next week and see if it is still there.  This could be a chemo side-effect affecting that lymph gland.  I could have a virus.  Oh, it could be more serious.

Thank you for all the prayers that I know many of you pray for me each day....maybe, we need to bump them up a bit!

Meanwhile, I am sewing curtains.  The key word here was sewing.  My hubs got out my machine and although when the kids were young, I sewed all the time....I could NOT remember how to do the bottom bobbin thingy.  Finally got it!!  Like riding a bike, SORTA!

Isn't it wild? The finding of different things on our own persons? Praying that it proves to be nothing whatsoever. When we place ourselves in God's hands, we are in the very safest place no matter what. Since it's on my mind, I'll remind you of the old hymn..."Be not dismayed whate'er betide...God will take care of you...oooh..." You noticed that little ooooh I hope. I did it specially good for ya. ;>

I can forget how to do the bobbin from yesterday to today. Now that does have me a bit concerned.

I will keep you in prayer Ceekay! I always have to remind myself about how to rethread and redo the bobbin over and over. LOL!

This is so cute! I love the retro look and think it's just perfect. It's very bright and happy looking! We've had several campers and I remember back when my kids were little I had a tropical theme for my camper and our good friends had a flamingo theme for theirs and yet another had lighthouses. I know from experience that having the inside of the camper enjoyable like this goes a long way when you are camping. Hope you are able to enjoy it soon!

Absolutely, Ceekay! You are always in my prayers, but I'll do some extras.

Once you remembered how to use your sewing machine, did you enjoy it? I hope so. I love sewing and find it very therapeutic.

Most definitely ... sending prayers to you. Always.

One more reason for all of us to be aware of lumps, bumps, changing moles, blemishes that won't heal. I've had nine skin cancers, four of them requiring some tricky surgery on my face.

Ceekay- Ok- I am scared FOR you, too...but I also know that there are lots of side effects from treatments and it could just be that OR it could be just a normal virus that is causing the lymph gland to react. Hoping it is nothing serious but bumping up the prayers for you-even for serenity while you wait for knowledge! xo Diana

Of course you're scared, Ceekay. I'm so hoping for you that it's only a side effect or virus and I'll keep you in my thoughts.
