I tried Knocking on the door!

When in Decatur Alabama, in the historic district, Candy and I came upon a home with a garden in the patch of grass between the sidewalk and road.  I was losing what is left of my mind.  Candy tried to hide, sliding down in the car like my kids used to do.

I went to the gorgeous old home door, but alas, no one was home.  That is my story....Candy says, they were on the phone calling 911 for the crazy women on their porch.  You decide.

Ok, if you all don't see why I was going nuts....I give up!

What were you gonna say when they answered the door? Just ask to take pictures? I don't think they would mind at all. Something that attention grabbing is sure to be picture worthy. :)

This garden is the wildest, craziest, most fabulous, charming, overstuffed ... well, it would have the same effect on me as it did on you if I had discovered it.

No, I don't think you are one bit crazy, Ceekay. And I think the people would have been honored that you photographed their yard. What fun! People with a yard like this expect visitors. They are bound to because it's so unique and fun and whimsical. They were definitely out of town or they didn't have their makeup up on hair rolled. It is the Deep South, you know. ;-)

Oh my, that is a treat for the eyes for sure! I bet that took lots of time to grow into its marvelous state. I would have had to stop and taken a gander too.

I'm originally from Alabama and I've never seen anything like that there! LOL! I think she must be a collector and he dh won't let her keep her treasures in the house!

Aren't you glad you did it? Looks like a sidewalk is there.... So in my mind you were on public property. :)

I'm sure they would be delighted to see your pretty pictures.

Oh my GOSH ... what a collection of vintage goodies!! I bet there are some valuable things in there. Must have been a real challenge to put it all together. I would have wanted to stop and look with hopes of having a camera handy. Thanks for sharing Ceekay ... very enjoyable.
