The B & B

When my girlfriend told me that we were staying at an old school, I thought about a small school with a few classrooms.  Uh, I was wrong.

Noftsger Hill School

Built in 1921 and was an active school until 1981.

All the above pictures were from our room.

I wish this was clearer.....but we tried several times.  This is the original school master's clock.

Other areas throughout the B&B.  I loved all the old school desks.

This was the main dish of our breakfast, along with yummy french toast and yogurt parfaits.

Candy and I both fell in love with the S&P.

There is a chalkboard in every guest room....and all the guests have left notes, including about Michael, the ghost.

Now, Ceekay is there too!!

What a wonderful idea. Instead of having an apartment building a lovely B&B. I recognize those great big windows all schools used to have. Many a happy time spent daydreaming while looking out those windows.

What fun! I would love to stay in an old school like this - it looks like the one I went to grade school in. Hope this finds you on the mend, and feeling better every day. Sally

Ceekay, this is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast. I think it is so unique to re-do and old school into something beautiful and serves a purpose.

What a great way to recycle a school house. A one room school house would be even more fun. I like that they left some of the original things in the B and B. The desks and chalk boards all add to the atmosphere. Those shrubs outside are really interesting on how they grow tall but don't block the windows. I bet you had a great time.

What a fun place to spend a night or 2! Someone bought the old school house here several years ago and is supposedly fixing it up for their home I believe. Would be fun to tour it!

Goodness you have been busy! Are you going to be home in March? I think we are planning on coming to see Bill's folks that 2nd full week. Hope to see you!

My hubby and I stayed in this darling school house! It's is Globe isn't it?! We stayed in the BIG pink classroom you have a picture of and I wrote on that chalkboard!!! We had so much fun. The Innkeepers are so sweet aren't they?! We were there only guest when we stayed for 2 days and was spoiled! I am sure you were too!

I heard the old movie threater burned down. We enjoyed catching a movie there! Cute town.

Wishing you a wonderful day!
