Let's Just Pretend

for a little bit that I am not a frazzled MOB .....

It is 112 here today with threats of even hotter for Saturday....but I am not going to think about that....

We started with a list of 40 people that is now 57....but I am not going to think about that.....

I am getting my hair colored and cut with a new hairdresser....but I am not going to fret about that...YET

No, I am going to look around and smell the daisies...well, no, they are now all dead....so let us look at some things I see in my home!

This small cloche sits to my left as I sit at the computer....

It holds a sweetgrass mini basket and Greenville's famous little mouse, souvenirs from my visits to God's country....South Carolina...

To the right of me is one of my vintage scales....with a small crock...full of faux greens...yes Shelia, I love my faux and they love me!!...

I stuck some old spools inside....

I asked my hubby to hang my cow from Marty....after he raised his eyebrow...he did it...cuz he loves me!!

I hung an apron from it...the apron was a blogger gift a couple of years ago....

Now, you all are saying....what in the world does anything have to do with each other....

NOTHING....but I am not going to think about that!!

Bless your heart, you have all rights to be a frazzled MOB at this point! :) But it sounds like you are handling it very well! Hope all goes well! I love the treat little boxes you put together for the wedding! They were so cute!!!

Oh, and I am just drooling over your red vintage scale! :)

Sounds as if there's a whole lot on your plate. I think being a Scarlett O'Hara is a fine idea. I'll be thinking of you!

Oh I know you have a lot on your plate. The weather is so hot and an outdoor wedding, wow. I know you are making everything perfect. My thoughts are with you. Love that scales and the cow looks perfect. In shopping my garage, I came across some treasure that I will bring on the 12th. Things that need to live at our new home. Hugs, Marty

As I made a cup of tea this morning I grabbed the teacup given to me by my dear friend Ceekay and said a prayer for her. :)

What happened to the comment I left. Weird. You know I love your scales and all of your antiques, the cow head is perfect for your apron. It looks fabulous. I know the wedding is going to be wonderful. Just go to the pool, relax and cool off, it will all get done. Hugs, Marty

Too cute Ceekay. I always say (in the famous words of Miss Scarlet) Fiddle-de-dee, I'm not going to thin about that today, maybe tomorrow) or something like that. Love, love the scale.
Hugs,
Jann

Hello Ceekay
It's been a long time since I visited you, your blog has changed - very nice.
Felt I should come over to say maybe we should visit BJ and show her how shredded wheat is really eaten! LOL
I can sympathize with being MOB, my last experience was 10 years ago this Sept. Hoping you can relax and enjoy the day.
I'm off to peruse other parts of your blog/s.
Have a great week and stay cool.
