I had an absolute ball. We twisted, Hokey Pokeyed, and the Slide....my body is paying the price, but it was worth every ache.
I will have more pics later....here are just a few before the party got started....
Of course, Elvis showed up!
There was a hoola hoop contest....
Centerpieces were big Root Beer Mugs....and yes, we had Root Beer Floats....Hamburgars and Fries!
This couple are fantastic dancers!
This was the DJ.....
I rested up real good so I could have a good time....
I caught up with my magazine reading!!
Hope you had a great weekend too.....Hopefully by Monday, I will be able to move again!
BTW - Let's Twist Again....that song got way longer than I remembered it...(or maybe my body got a little older!!)

What fun. I was never allowed to attend a sock hop at school so I missed out on all that fun. How neat to be able to enjoy it all over again as an adult- Blessings- xo Diana
ps. Didya know we had another baby grandson last night?>)
Sounds like you had a GREAT time Ceekay!!! I bet that really was fun. But, what is a sock hop? (pretending to be too young to know and asked tongue-in-cheek) LOL!!!

You are such an inspiration!! That looks like such a fun evening and that last photo of you is Adorable!!!
Sounds like fun, Ceekay! Wish you'd had someone snap of picture of you and your mister cutting a rug! You look really cute sprawled out on the sofa! :)
Be a sweetie,
shelia ;)
Ceekay there you go having fun again!! LOL
LOL I remember sock hops from junior high! Sweaty teens dancing the night away in the gym until 10:00, always hoping that the boy you had a crush on would come over, take your hand, and lead you onto the dance floor.... Glad you got to re-live those times, CeeKay! I hadn't thought of those dances for a long time. Oh and I bet those songs DID seem longer! stretch out, girl! :-) Sue

I love the 50's and all the fun music. I'm actually a hoola hoop champ from a sock hop I attended once!

When my MR. is OUT of school I'm going to throw a huge parteeee and dance the night away. COME ON NOVEMBER!
