When I worked for the Attorneys' Office, one of the advocates brought me the sweetest gift. Her sister made it. I have treasured it for years. I do believe that the talented woman has since passed...so I cherish it even more. I am amazed at the work in such a small treasure.
This little gem is made of simple felt. The embroidery and blanket stitches are so amazing. The size is only about 3" by 4". As you can see I have never used it. I am that way with things that I think are so cute....
Just stopping by to say Hi....it is quiet here right now....and still HOT. I already have done my work for the day. I am doing some creating...but too soon to share yet. Have a good hump day!

Hi Ceekay, Thank you for sharing this lovely little pin holder. What a treasure to behold and the sweet memories of friends it must bring.
Have a delightful day.

That is darling and it's so sweet that you treasure something that is handmade! I think the world ran a muck when industrialization hit the scene. Objects should be made by hands, by women....artists....and treasured!

It's darling Ceekay and I have always loved the blanket stitch. hugs♥O
What a treasure - and what a thoughtful gift. Imagine giving a gift that someone still treasures years later - gives me pause for thought about the gifts I'll be giving this year. Thanks for sharing.

That is a beautiful keep sake Ceekay!
What a sweet little needlebook or sewing kit seems more likely. It really is a treasure.
It reminds me of the stitches used so many years ago just to give a baby dress a bit of trim.
Sweet keepsake.
Hi Ceekay! What a pretty little gift! So sweet that you've kept it too.
I pray your scan went well. You're always in my prayers.
Love you,
Shelia ;)
It's really hot here today too. Thanks for taking the time to comment on my blog. I don't remember what font my framed date project was. I was clicking through so many and they all started to run together! The vellum worked really well and came out much darker than I expected. Stay cool! p.s. Did you know your email isn't enabled on your blogger profile? I couldn't respond to your comments.
Thanx CeeKay! Blogger post was just messing me up something awful earlier but I think I got it worked out. Hope your day was a great one!:)
