October Thoughts

will forever go back to October 2008 when my husband gave me the gift of a month "at home". I am a Michigan born girl and love the fall. I don't think I could have squeezed one more activity into that month....

Kathy from Mimi's Garden and I doing what girls do best...making memories!

I so love this....the crunching of the leaves beneath my feet. Seriously, this is one of my all time favorite pictures I have ever taken. All the colors I adore!
This October I am staying at home with the love of my life. He just celebrated his birthday yesterday. We both never complain anymore of getting old...oh, for the blessings of birthdays!
So no colorful leaves under my feet...but lots of silk ones in my home! No smell of Autumn in the air, but plenty of Fall scents in candles burning...
and the memories continue.....

Hi there! I'm glad you're feeling good!
I love the autumn leaves too. Except ours out here in CA usually don't fall under Jan or Feb. Drives me crazy! HA!
I read the recipe in the post before this - I didn't know that about the diet soda. Wow! Great diet advantage! So thanks for sharing that. And your husband is just too cute to fix you a tray. What a guy! Happy Birthday to him by the way!!!
Have a wonderful weekend! Karen

I love the colorful fall leaves under your feet, but I also love the smell of warm scented candles burning throughout the house in the Fall. Sounds cozy and GOOD to me*! ((hugs sista)) Hope you're feeling better. _Ashley*

Hi Ceekay...what a neat post...I love seeing all the fall leaves and colors...we're still very much summer here, although the temperatures are finally cooling down...to the 70's! Haven't lost more than a handful of leaves from the trees, and my roses are still blooming. I'm not complaining...I love warm summer weather.

How are you doing? I haven't been keeping up with everyone, so don't know much about anything...still praying for you, though.

Blessings,
Mary

Hi Ceekay, Oh I love this post so much. I too, born and raised in Michigan. I still remember the October days of apple picking, cider mills and donuts. We have the pumpkin patch here, but just not the same and truly no colorful leaves to crunch. But we too, make the best of the season and bring in the color. I love the pic of you and Kathy and the leaves at your feet is an awesome pic. enjoy the season and have fun!

hugs, Celestina Marie

You look like you had fun, sweetpea. Looks very fall even if it is a tad early for us here in Idaho. But the photos are gorgeous with all the fall colors!
