Girlfriends Party like it is 19??

Well, probably not quite like that!  Today my girlfriend Candy (Sweet Meanderings) and I met to celebrate our birthdays.  Mine is past, hers is this week.

We went to Landmark Restaurant in Mesa.  I wish I had taken my camera, but I will next time, I promise.  It is a historical church building, once owned by the Morman church.  It is fabulous!  They are known for their Salad Room.   No not just a bar, a whole room.

So anyway, I had got my friend something that we both have been looking for, footed tea cups.  But I had no box....
I went to a neighbor and she had a shipping box, the perfect size, but it wasn't very pretty.  So my neighbor suggested I use pages from a magazine and cover the box.

So last night, I "decorated the box".  The nest is all hand made and totally using whatever I had!  But it turned out pretty cute!!

Oh and what did she get me for my birthday????

A footed teacup!

That is the cutest gift box! I wouldn't want to open it...you'd have to tell me what was in it.

I bet she LOVED it! This is so cute. I have so many old Victoria magazines that I could use. :) At least I would be using them. HA!
